There is nothing wrong with the cord seeing that I have bought another cord brand new and has the same problem. Every time I plug in the A/V cord it shows the E74 error screen and one red light is shown.
On red light indicates equipment or power/voltage failure. It may be a problem with the hardrive. Or have you tried it on a different TV to see if it changes.

my xbox 360 wireless controller will flash twice when i turn it on, but then turn off (or go into a state of hybernation, as pressing start will also cause it to flash twice), i've been using rechargeable batteries for over a year with this controller and i've never had a problem with them, i have 8 fully charged ones sitting on my desk right now and every one of them is giving me the same double flash problem.
my pc is telling me its "lost connection with the controller" but gives no information as to why this may be. this has only been a problem since i've gotten back from uni, before it would occasional not turn on (probably due to the tray being abit loose) but i fixed that with the rebending of the retention spring in the middle of the battery tray, but its still giving me the same problem. it seems to me as if the batteries have nothing to do with the problem, if they were, it wouldn't be turning on at all.
