How do i scan and email a document using the a940 printer

1 Turn on your computer and printer, and make sure they are connected.
2 Load your original document.
3 Click Start >> All Programs >> Dell Printers >> Dell Photo AIO Printer 964 >> Dell All-In-One Center.
4 Click Preview

You should now see a preview of your scanned document.

Adjust the dotted lines if they are not completely around your document.
There is a 'Send scanned image to:' option -

You can save the document to your desktop.

Now go into your mail program and when in the body of the email, use your programs features to attach the scanned file document to your email (you did not specify the email program you use, so this is just a general mention of attaching the file to your email).

You have to scan to your pc then you can attached it to emails.

Hi. Here are the steps you need to do to send a scanned document/image using your default email application. Place your orinal document/image on the printer. Using the Productivity Studio software, click email, select the scan type (photo, several photos or document). Click start. Click create email to attach the file to the email message. In most cases, you want to scan to file and save the file in a folder of your choice. I have a 7310 xi all in one and I have a folder on my desktop named scans. When I scan a pic or document I save it as a jpg (pic) file or a PDF (document) file to that folder. Then when I email someone, I attach the file using the attach button on the email page.

If I'm understanding your question, this printer can print, fax and scan. So, you can scan an item, save in a file and send as an attachment in an Email. Hope this helps.

you may be using windows XP but if your computer is not a dell you may have to look for printer drivers that will make it compatible with you computer

hi i thing your software is corumpt and you nead to reinstall it. when you buy your printer you have the cd whit it. but if you don't find it you cant download the torrent of ocr

If you have installed the software of the printer already then you can use the hp solution center to scan a document or a picture. And make sure that you have save the picture or document. After saving it to your computer you can open your email and put the document or picture as an attachments

Go into Control Panel and complete the Scanner Wizard provided by Windows XP, then try scanning pictures or documents again. If you have the disk to the printer/scanner autorun the installation again. It will just overwrite the old install, not a big deal. If you do not have the disk, look online for the "free installation disk Dell A940 Printer/Scanner" and run from this free website. Let me know how it goes.

If you are using windows XP

Click on Start,select all programs.
Select accessories.
Select paint.
Make sure you have a document on scanner bed.
Select the option of file on the top left hand side of the paint window.
Select the option"scanners and cameras".
A new window will pop up. Select the printer.
Click on scan.
Check if you are able to get a scan.
