Have you tried cleaning the RAM? Here's how it's done, remove the RAM from the DIMM slot of the motherboard and rub the pins with pencil eraser as shown in the image below:E2200 Duo Core refusing to boot with P965T-A mothe - b239e53.jpg
then install again to the motherboard. Same goes with the graphics card (if you have one installed). if problems persist, replace the RAM..

Confirmed that E2200 is compatable.
http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?detailid=823&CategoryID=1&DetailName=Specification&MenuID=1&LanID=9

Is the CPU fan spinning? If not, that may be the reason.
Does it do anything w/o the CPU installed?
Reset the bios to default (short-out the reset pins near the cmos battery or near the BIOS chip).... (or remove the cmos battery and wait a few minutes).
Other experts solutions???????

The problem could be with the mother board. It is difficult to pin point the problem without checking Power supply, RAM and motherboard. Before going to any conclusion first disconnect everything from the Motherboard. i.e front usb connectors, front audio connectors, hard disk, cd/dvd drive and floppy drive (if there is one), cmos battery, keyboard and mouse. Now start the system. If there is no difference check with another power supply. Also clean the cpu fan if it is choked with dust.

When looking for a motherboard it may be difficult to get the same type. U may buy a board which supports core 2 duo processor and DDR II RAM. Your machine may be having DDR II RAM. Also boards are available which supports core 2 duo and DDR III Ram. That's all.

if its windows after you push the power button keep pushing f8 till you see a boot menu / choose boot in safe mode then you can use system restore /sounds like a bad driver/ loose processor/bad fan improper cooling could be the graphics card itself

Duo core motherboards will not support the bus speed or the power output to power on that processor. You need to upgrade the motherboard with the new processor.

ASUS P5QC refuses to boot

This is a known issue with Asus motherboards. I got 2 in my shop with the same problem. While I didn't have your model I'll assume the issue is on that board as well.

Clear cmos with the jumper on the motherboard. This resolves the issue with no video.
There should be a 2 pin jumper, your motherboard manual will show you where its located.

Good Luck
