Question about Saeco VIA Venezia

1 Answer

I have cleaned the machine, taken apart the filter and even attempted to run white vinegar through it to remove any potential deposits. I still can't get water through. Any suggestions?

You may need a new portafilter. I got a brand new Via Venezia and it never worked right out of the box. I got a new portafilter and now the espesso flies out of the machine. Bad news is the portafilter is like $65. They say you are not supposed to take those portafilters apart, they have some weird pressurized part that gets wrecked if you disassemble them.

Hi., What causes a white scale on a frangipani leaf and how do I get rid of it? Thanks

The white scale is mineral deposits from hard water, use white vinegar to clean/remove it, run the white vinegar full strength through the machine a couple of times. Do this on a regular basis to stop the scale from building up.

What steps will improve dishwater performance?

You can remove hard water deposits/scale by running one cycle of your dishwasher (empty) with distilled white vinegar. Add 2 cups of vinegar to the bottom and turn the machine on to an energy saving or low wash. Stop the machine mid-wash, so the vinegar can set on the bottom and work. check links below , press the helpful button.

Machine is clogged and water will not drip through to make espresso. the steam frother works sort of

Did your User Manual have a section that tells you how to clean out mineral deposits and hard water scale? Usually, this is done by filling the resevoir with white vinegar and then turning the machine ON for 30 seconds then OFF for 5 minutes. Keep repeating the ON-OFF cleaning cycle until all the vinegar is pumped into the carafe. If the machine needs further cleaning. Repeat the process until the scale and mineral deposits are dissolved. Finally, flush the machine with a full resevoir of clean water and run a normal BREW cycle. Should work like new.

Descale bunn cdbcf15 water tank

Running white vinegar thru the line will never cause damage ......and actually should help remove mineral deposits clogging the line. If you want you can reuse the white vinegar and run it thru several times till it has completely removed mineral deposits. Once it is cleaned using distilled water will prevent build up.

The water comes out the top of the manuel filter so not all the hot water goes through the holder. the coffee is loosely put in the filter

Try running vinegar through the Keurig to clean and de-scale it. You should use white vinegar, run it through using several cups until there is no vinegar left, then use clean water to brew plain hot water until you can no longer smell vinegar. This will help de-scale the Keurig and potentially remove any plugged bits of coffee that may remain.

How to clean the inside of tea pot (scale deposits)?

Vinegar is very good at removing scaly deposits. Heat white/clear vinegar just as you would normally heat the water for your tea. After heating the vinegar, pour out and rinse thoroughly with water. If there are still deposits after this first attempt, use vinegar once again. Once you are satisfied that all the deposits have been removed, heat water in the tea pot 2-3 times to remove any smell or taste from the vinegar (before using for tea).

My parents gave me their old espresso machine, it looks gross when I take the top lid off. How do I ensure it is properly cleaned? It's the Krups allegro fnd 112

You can buy coffee pot descaling products at the grocery or department stores, or you can use a vinegar and water solution to break down the mineral deposits. You can use a cloth to start the cleaning, but scrubbing with abrasives is not a good idea.

If you use a retail product, follow instructions; if you use vinegar, use half water, half vinegar. Run it as though you were making expresso, using the frother while you do it. The frother can also be taken apart and soaked. Afterward, run the machine with clean water until all traces of the vinegar are gone. If it is really dirty, you may have to do it several times. Thanks for using fixya.

My tim hortons coffee maker is not brewing as quickly..s there a wayto clean it

Make a 1/2 pot 50/50 mixture of cold water and white vinegar then run it through the machine in normal brewing fashion. Place a clean filter in the brewing cup to catch the white deposits that are removed. Allow the mixture to cool, then repeat the process several times while using the same filter. Finally, run several pots of fresh water through to work out the taste of the vinegar. Repeat whenever the brewing time seems to be excessive.

Steam iron residue on suit pants

I would send them to the drycleaners and point out the contamination. If they were mine, I would treat them with a little white vinegar; the white deposits are caused by a buildup of calcium in your iron. Don't put the vinegar directly on the trousers but use a clean cloth with some vinegar on it and gently massage the deposits.
It may stink, but it is wise to now and then run it warm (only) with some white vinegar which will dissolve the deposits. Put it on a heat-proof surface (such as a stove grate) so it can stand flat otherwise not all of the deposits will get soaked with vinegar. After letting it soak warm, run several tanksful of plain water to remove the vinegar and shake it over the sink in case there is chunks (very well could be) that have been loosened.
