Failed to connect to Internet

I have this router since may. it worked perfectly until my computer crashed.
I reinstal into new hard dives and put it on.
It refused to get into the router home page for me to set the pass word for I have forgotten it.
I then reset the router and bang, it will bring 3 lights and failed both to see the router page or to connect.
3 light come up, it ought to be four lights but the missing light was the data light.
if the data light comes up I know it is working then,
Is there any help to get it fixed.
it cannot connect to www. to access the router page.
maybe the page has changed, kindly help

Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless router unable to connect to Internet

Try again by Disabling the WEP (or WPA), MAC Address Filtering and Firewall Setting Individually. Should be a problem with one of those. Then when you receive the Signals, try to Adjust using Bottom Up method. That means one setting at a time, Hardening the Security. Have you checked your DNS settings? Have you checked the Channels you are using? Re check them and try again.

No Installation CD for Wireless-G Notebook Adapter

Hello! It is possible to install it without the CD< but not easily >You will need to, On a separate computer, Go to and download the drivers, then just burn them to a CD< or Put them on a flash drive, and install it on the laptop. Unless the laptop has a Ethernet port, then just connected the computer to the linksys router VIA Ethernet to download the drivers.

"Local Access Only"

You need to look on the back of your router and find the small reset button. Push it and everything should reconfigure. If not Go into your device manager and see if you can find something called a NIC card or Network Interface Card, or something called an Ethernet card, if those are not listed, it means your driver has been deleted somehow. You can go to the manufacturers website and download a new driver.

Internet Explorer hangs when connecting through USB adapter

That's bizarre.
Run a full virus and spyware scan.
In IE, open Tools/Internet Options/ Connections and make sure the entries are correct-sometimes there are entries from previous connections.
Also open Advanced and Reset IE to defaults.
Under the General Tab, clear the temp files.
It's hard to call this an adapter problem when it works OK other places.
You might want to try Firefox-it's a better browser anyway, and if it works OK it suggests the problem is with IE:

Belkins router not connecting to cable modem

You need to start from beginning. Clear all temp internet files and run this programme Start>Run ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter. Get into the routers settings(probably and ensure in the Lan settings that 'DHCP Server' is on and wireless is enabled.(you might need to be connected by RJ45 lan cable first) If it's a 125mbps router change settings to 54mbps to try that speed first(especially as your wireless cards will be 54 mbps) look in Mac address Filtering is off. Look in the DHCP Client list and see if your pc's were allocated ip addresses, if so it should allow an internet connection. Go to both your pc's wireless cards properties and under TCP/IP properties ensure obtain ip address automatically is checked. Restart both pc's and the router, disconnect cable and try wirelessly

I would try a hard reset of the router to reinstall the original settings. Then reconfigure and test again. If ther is no change then as you probably suspect the router has failed. Let us know if you have any other questions and please don't forget to rate this posting.

No connection to internet

I would suggest you contact your ISP and make sure that there is not a problem on that end.
