Question about Panasonic NV-DS27B Mini DV Digital Camcorder
The unit has stopped working, I am receiving a "PLEASE RE-OPERATE AFTER PUSHING RESET BUTTON". I have pressed the reset button and also receiving the "TO SERVICE" error.
My one had this problem, occurring only when i put tapes in which it couldnt read from or play. i managed to fix it by turning the read head (which was jammed) a little bit with my index finger. the read head is the big silver drum at the bottom of the compartment. if your finger is thin enough you should be able to reach it from the top of the tape compartment when it is open. rotate it a little bit back and forward and try to free it up. problem solved.

I had this problem. I changed the internal battery. That didn't work. I thought I'd tried everything and had given up hope, then I just took the tape out and shook the tape. I put the tape back in, gave the door a wiggle and firmly shut it. Now it works!

Tips for a great answer:
In DCRTRV430 Camcorder, the C:31:42 error message is a Self diagnostic display. This message can be clearly identified by the help of a Sony Authorized service technician. Each of these codes indicates the symptoms and resolutions of the Camcorder. In C:31:42, the issue is with the tape and the tape mechanism.
I suggest that you remove and reinsert the tape to check if it helps. You may also try inserting new tapes in the Camcorder. Please remove the battery and/or power cable, connect, and perform operations from the beginning. You may also try resetting the Camcorder back to factory default after removing the tape.
To Reset the Camcorder, perform the steps below:
? Please open the LCD screen to locate the RESET button.
? To reset the Camcorder, press the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object.
? Please make sure that the Camcorder is turned on while pressing the reset button.
Also, try turning off the Camcorder and remove the battery pack. Then move the 'Power Switch' of the Camcorder to the ON position
for 1 minute. After about 1 minute, move the 'Power Switch' to the OFF position.
Now reinsert the battery, turn on the Camcorder and check whether it is working fine.
