Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop
Its not your display.... your A/C adapter is losing connection.
your brightnees is set to LOW on battery, and HIGH on A/C... which is why you think it flickers.. it is just losing and gaining A/C connection.. so it goes bright, then dark, then bright, then dark.. or A/C, then battery, then A/C, then battery... you understand?
try holding the A/C cord, where it is plugged into the back of the laptop, in one spot.... then move it to another spot and hold it there... does the problem stop? Then your A/C cord has a bad connection to your motherboard, which means you need a new motherboard.
good luck, if you thought this was a good solution, please vote.

Tips for a great answer:
Oct 21, 2012 | Dell Inspiron 4100 Notebook
Remove the battery from its compartment on the side of your Dell Inspiron laptop computer.
Remove the power adapter from its plug on the side of the Dell Inspiron (if your laptop is currently plugged into a wall outlet).
Press down and hold the "Power" button on the laptop for one to two minutes. This will dispel the excess electrical current that is built up inside the laptop.
Put the battery back inside the compartment of your Dell Inspiron.
Plug your power adapter back into the side of the Dell Inspiron. Press "Power." Your laptop computer will now turn on.
hope this helps
