What ohm is it running at? if you have all three hook up it parallel then its to low of ohms and it would be louder if you unhook your 10" sub as it moves differently form the 12"s and it cancels out some bass. but if you want it then you have to change the wiring around a bit. take the positive wire off a 12 and put it on the positive side of the 10 and then take the ground for the 10 and hook it up to the positive side of the 12. so you should have one wire from the amp going to the negative side of the 12 and one going to the positive side of the 10 and a jumper wire from the 10 to the 12. and if it still shuts off then you have bigger problems.

I have a lanzar vector VCT-2210 2000 watt amp hooked up to two menace 1300 watt subs. when i turn the volume up on the head unit the amp goes into protection mode. i checked all my wiring and it seems all...

Things to check: Is the wire between the amp and the subs heavy enough to pass 167 amps? 2000 * 12 = 166.66666 amps. Max volts on the subs are 10 volts....close enough. Are you sure you're using the line out on the head unit? You may be over driving the amp if it's anything else.If the head unit doesn't have line out connectors then you'll need to get an attenuator for each channel. Do you have caps on the 12 v power in wires? They'll keep the headlights from dimming and the alternator will last longer if you do.

My kicker 12 inch cvr's arent hitting as hard as they should

amps and wiring kits are very optimistic on the output. If you want proper wire, buy some welding cable "0" or "00" guage. That solves the power delivery. Put a 1 Farrad (or more) capacitor near the amp, that solves the surge power issue. Make sure the box is suitable for the subs. Lastly I'd say do some research and find the right amp that can deliver the clean, huge current required to move some serious air!

I HAVE A 1200 Watt Legacy Rebel amp and when I power it on the lights turn on but no sound comes out. Please give any help

You need to make sure that the subwoofer leads are connected correctly. It may be that the subs aren't connected properly. That would cause the amp to turn on without any sound coming out.

I had Rockford Fosgate P300-1 Amplifier installed professionally with a Kicker CVR10 10 in Subwoofer in 2010 Comaro. My problem is that it causes an odor in my car. I took it back to Mothers window tint...

your kicker cvr subwoofer should have a max power of 1600 watts therefore your amp is not too much for the sub because the p300-1 amplifier has a max output of 900 watts. if anything your amp would not be enough to produce max power out of your subwoofer. your sub should not produce an odor unless you have your amplifier bridged which doubles the watts pushed to your subwoofer and if that is the case your amp is pushing 1800 watts to a 1600 watt sub which could be causing it to fry or possibly blow soon. other than that if thats not the case there shouldnt be a problem.

Shuts off when the volume gets turned up didnt do this wen new

A mono amp usually can handle only two 4 ohm subs. You see when you hook up two subs in parallel it drops the ohms too 2 ohms and 3 in parellal drops it to 1 ohms overheating the amp and cause power failure. Unless you bought a Mono amp thats 1ohm stable. But still I've seen cheap 1 ohm stable amps not last long. Also possible your subs are fried too check them with a multimeter and measure each sub ohms.

Amp turns off.

your drawing/pulling too many amps. Is it a mono(one speaker), two way(two speakers/can be briged to one), or a four way(four speakers/can be brigrd to two). don't put too many speaker to that one amp if it's only a mono, or a two way.

Subs dont work when base is up high

Sounds like the amps needing more current available to it-You should have 4 gauge power coming off the battery going into a distribution block from there a 4 gauge to a 1 farad capacitor off the block -4 gauge to the ground for the capacitor -and two + leads from the block to your amps-you would do well with 6 gauge there.- That is to ensure that you have plenty of power on tap when needed and not trying to draw it off your charging system on heavy current demands.Make sure that your grounds are well placed and solidly connected. As for putting 600+watts on a pair of 8z......i hope that they are the CVR or the L5 / L7 series to take that much power,I've seen it done and the ones i heard sounded badass(L7 series)-but that was at the stereo shop so they had they stuff on HITTN status up in there. If your running the "cvr" or the "comp" series you might be throwing too much power on them -might want to step up your subs to a set of 12s just to get more air moving in there- good luck
