Question about Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook
It may well be some form of virus or spyware.
It may also be that you have too many applications running at once eg. lots of toolbars and instant message typ programs.
It can also happen on graphic intensive applications.
You should rule out nasty stuff first.
for a free one its pretty darned good !
From a CLEAN computer download and put on a flash drive.
Copy to your DESKTOP on the suspec computer.
Run it but dont change any options just use what it offers.
When its done let it clean anything it finds.
Its where I always start with an infected machine.
As for antivirus AVOID Norton or Mcafee but try the AVG FREE version MBAM should clean up without buying
Only continued use would require purchase As for too many applications that would be up to you to decide what you REALLY need and dont. Most toolbars are a waste of both time and space and can hog computers down. Maybe a good clean up is in order ?
It may just be a "leaking application"
These are badly coded programs that dont release memory when they should and just keep taking more to do the same job.
May I suggest you download "hijackthis"
It is a program that can make a report on what you have running in such a way that you can post that information to certain sites and experts there will look at it.
They will then give you reccomendations as to how you can remove programs or fix some issues that may be upsetting your computer.
Dont post the log here but follow the nstructions and help the program offers to send it to one of the sites it will offer you.
If you understand startup lists you may even be able to spot som things yourself that you dont want to run and disable them from hijack this.

My solution can help you to speed up PC, to make the system run faster and more stable, and to make more disk spaces. You will never have the idea that you update your PC or reinstall the system.
Method 1 You should clean startup
Because that most software has automatically function. When you go to the system they would automatically run in the background. So you always use the software is more convenient. But it will also cause unnecessary troubles. There is so much software when you start your PC that the speed will slow down and they can impact of your normal use. We can tell you some simple methods to clear them.1 You can find start-up under options in settings and check close. It is difficult to close one by one, once automatic operation programs are too many.2 You can clean automatic operation programs by manual operation. They are in “run” option of the registry and start menu. Find and clean them.3 If you think the above two methods are not suitable for you. You only clean Start up by professional software. Of course, it is the simplest way.
Method 2 Uninstalls your needless programs.
Open the install/uninstall Program, and Uninstall the software and Plug-ins
Method 3 you need download the software for cleaning system.I can supply you several optimization software. Maybe you don’t think the optimization software can help you out of distress. But they are your right arms. They can clean temporary files and the registry and your privacy, increases your PC speed.Well adapted to computer users at different competence levels. You can click the website http://computer-optimize.com/ to find the satisfied software
I wish my solution could help you.

Seems to me a viral problem since if you actually save the music file on the hard drive. How's that be lost? Check your task activity using Task Manager, what's eating up a lot of resources.
Also check your installed programs and hard drive remaining space, might be near full. Some registration errors are deleted files, obsolete files, cookies and temporary files.
Hope it helps

Tips for a great answer:
Nov 28, 2012 | Sony CDP-CE375 5-Disc CD Changer
To run the check disk utility you will need a repair disc or
a operating system disc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot from
it. You want to get to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with white
letters) and type the following command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice the percentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run to completion. Then reboot machine.
If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows. Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.
In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair when the options appear.
In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recovery console and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command.
