Question about Computers & Internet
Ok my situation is paying extra child-support. My Ex is asked me if she could raise the child-support. I told her i don't mine but my question is will that effect or lower her benifits she is getting from the goverment? For example food stamps or childcare...?
Each state is different, but it is my understanding that anything they receive from you for child support will have to be counted at income for her. Because it is income, she will have to claim that to receive benefits, so yes her benefits will probably change, and possibly be lowered. I would tell her to contact her case worker to see what would happen in her income was raised _____$ amount.
