When running, metal parts are banging around. Cleaned filter but nothing in there. Can it be the weights in the bag?

Do not run the vac again. If the banging is coming from the top of canister portion, you likely have a blown top bushing or lower bearing or both in the motor itself.. Either way the motor can usually be rebuilt by an experienced tech, or if you are very mechanically inclined, otherwise a new motor will be required. You should determine the cause in case you have a damaged filter

if the motor is making nasty noises ,replace the vacuum with a new beam ,they have superior power over the old ones. If you change the motor ,it will likely not work long as the control board probably has been overworked by the dieing motor and will not last long . You cant buy old control boards ,so unless its newer replace the whole unit ,if it is newer Beam will fix it free , best warranty around.

How do I remove and replace the inverted bag filter?

Inverted filter bags can be tough to remove. The best way is to grab the bag closest to the top portion where it attaches to the canister. The bag is locked in place by a metal rings that presses out. You want to grab a portion of the bag (some bags have a holder tab) and pull towards the center. The goal is to make a C shape of the ring that is holding the bag in place. Once the bag collapse into a C shape, the bag can be removed and cleaned or replaced. The same technique is best for re-installing the new or cleaned bag.

How do I clean out nutone cv556 filter bag?

There are 3 options: 1) Use another vacuum like a shop vac to clean the filter bag while in place. 2) Wrap a trash bag around the bottom of the canister with the dirt can removed. Tighten the trash bag around the metal can and smack or shake the filter bag. This will prevent dust from escaping into the air and on you. 3) Grab the filter bag towards the top where it locks into the can. Pull the filter bag towards the center of the can to fold it into a C-shape. This can be hard to do, so do not be afraid to pull. Once folded into the C-shape, the bag should come out easily. Take the bag outside to shake off any debris. To put back in place, use the C-shape method again, and fold out to form a full circle. DO NOT wash the bags out with water.

Power is on and running but there is no suction at all and peformance light is on

did you check to see if it was stopped up something could be clogged in the hose. carefully Try running a broom handle or stick throught the hose making sure there is nothing like a dirt clog in there. also if you have a filter you can clean it out because this will cause the vacuum not to have any suction I just take mine outside and put it in a plastic bag and bang it on the ground a few time to get all the dirt out. I also use an air compressor to blow out the filter every once in a while.

Since I replaced the bag in my Eureka Rally 2 (this was the first time) the suction has not been working well. Could you please tell me what I could have done incorrectly. Thankyou

The dust bag holder is an important part of this vacuum. Make sure the bag is installed into the holder sliding bag collar into slots to secure.
Make sure the bag is tucked into cleaner. or the bag cover will not latch securely.
Also, the motor and exhaust filters should be cleaned at each bag replacement.
REPLACING THE FILTERS
Filters should be cleaned or replaced when they become visibly soiled or suction power is reduced. Always operate the cleaner with the filters installed to avoid motor damage. The dust bag must be changed and the filters cleaned or replaced if the window of the Clean Filter Indicator changes into red when the cleaner is operating at maximum power and the nozzle is raised from the floor.

The CV750 stopped working. It will come on sometimes but most of time it will not work. I installed new bag and cleaned filter. Green light on side of unit is on. Switch on side of unit will not make it...

The motor may have a sticking brush or a dead commutator segment. Turn off power to the unit to check for sticking brushes. Reapply power, does it now run? If not, shut it off, physically turn the motor a few degrees, and reapply power. If it still doesn't run, look for loose wiring around the motor. If it does run, replace the motor armature or the entire motor if the armature is not available as a separate part.

How to remove filter on beam model 2775

Remove the bucket and look up inside the tank. There will be a finger loop to help pull the filter from it's track. You can shake it clean by wrapping a garbage bag around the tank, squeezing the air from the bag ( so it doesn't puff dust back at you)and then wrapping the bag over your hand and reaching up towards the filter.
This filter has a flat metal spring in it and will snap back into place. It is not normally removed unless it has gotten damp or stinky from pet odour. It is weighted in the middle with heavy beads in a sewn pouch.

No suction beam serenity plus

You may need a new filter bag part #110346. They can cause suction problems at the unit. Either that are there is a problem with the motor, does it sound alright when running? If not, take it to a beam repair shop, with proof of purchase, the motor would be under warranty for the part only, not labor. The filter bag is not covered by warranty.

.. it just won't work.....

The Cloth Bag Filter has a beanbag weight in the center. It is held in place by a metal band around the outside of the filter -

there should be a loop next to the edge that you can grab and pull to the center - then the filter should come out of the upper tank. the band is flexable. powder is a big problem with any Vacuum -- DON'T use carpet powders they clogg any vacuum. sheep up what you can - when you vacuum -clean the filter and tank soon after- you can burn out the motor because of lack of air.
