Question about Canon PowerShot S1 IS Digital Camera
HI HOPE YOU CAN HELP
LATELY IT HAS BECOME MORE AND MORE DIFFICULT TO GET MY COMPUTER TO RECOGNISE MY CAMERA . AT THE START I WOULD JUST CONECT THE LEAD AND MY WINDOWS XP WOULD CONNECT TO THE CAM AND A WAY WE,D GO BUT LATLY I WOULD HAVE TO CONNECT AND RECONNECT MY USB LEAD IN AND OUT OF ALL MY USB SLOT TILL I GOT A CONNECTION BUT I CANNOT GET A CONNECTION AT ALL NOW.
I HAVE ANOTHER SMALL CAMERA AND WITH THE SAME LEAD CAN CONNECT STRAIGHT AWAY TO ANY OF MY USB PORTS
I was having the same problem with my S1 IS but I have a MAC what fixed it for me was reloading the firmware. Canons web site has all the instructions on how to do it

If you haven't tried this already, When you connect it go to START and then MY COMPUTER. And you should see the CANON icon then click on that. I hope this helps. :)
