Normally you would remove the front of the dryer, then it makes for easy acess of the drum and rollers..
The noise is probably your rollers, either needs lube or replacement

GE dryer dbsr453eb3ww making very loud squealing noise. Could it be belt? How do you access the motor?

You probably have worn front bearing slides, 316 and 313 in the diagram. You may also have a worn rear bearing 3106 in diagram. Slide putting knife between front panel and top near edges to release clips to gain acess to internals.

High pitched squeal when running. Capacity Plus Gas Dryer ten years old.

tumble dryer / twin tub is making a loud rumbling noise when running, unplug it, take the rear cover off and remove the drive belt. Then turn the inner drum by hand. If there is a grating noise, the bearings will almost certainly need replacing

My dryer is making a really loud noise when the clothes are spinning in the dryer. There is a loud rumble and squealling noise.

The squealing noise coming from your dryer is caused by the front glides located on the top bearing, they act like a pad against the drum and when gone, will make an awful squealing. part number for the 4 glides that may be needed is WE3X87 this is a common problem as it is a wearable part. if you don`t replace these in time it will grind all the way through your top bearing and start to deteriorate your drum. if its been like this for a while you may also need a GE drum bearing they come in short and long sizes. and are relatively cheap to replace.hope this helps

Thanks

When entering spin cycle, making a loud noise. I

Check your belt it may be lose. A lose belt will cause a squealing noise and the machine spin slower or take time to come up to full speed

Maytag gas dryer squealing

Hi, this is a belt issue. make sure the tension on the belt/motor is sufficient. adjust to specs. if the belt is fine, this will be bad bearings in the roller assembly.

Replace the rollers in this case.

Loud squealing noise from Drum belt looks fine other solutions

If the noise is like a shaking of rattling , like coins being shaked , then it is an object trapped inside the drum.

If instead the noise is a loud grinding , that may get louder on high speed, then it is usually a bad drum bearing.

If dryer is not cooling, check that the noise is not coming from the ventilation fan.

Rollers and belt tensioner can also make noise.

THE DRYER STARTED MAKING A SQUEALING NOISE AND THEN IT STOPPED AND WOULD START AGAIN AND SOMETIMES IT WOULDN'T MAKE A NOISE BUT NOW IT'S SO LOUD THAT YOU CAN'T STAND TO HAVE IT ON.

you may have to take it apart and check two things...
1. the motor on dryers can get pluged with dust and lint and dry out. the motor bearings may simply be dry. it might be too late for the motor, but you could try lubing the motor bearings and at least stop the squeal for a while.
2. remove the drum and lubricate the wheels or bearings that the drum rides on.
lubricate all rollers and belt guides as well.
hope this helps..........jay

Maytag atlantis dryer squeals very loudly when running

you have answered your own question! The belt will have become loose due to age/stretching. You hear cars making the same squealing noise when thgey rev up. Its a real squeal/screech. It may possibly be the drum rubbing on the chassis due to beariing failure, but doubtful.
So on some machines the motor is on adjustable brackets that let you move the motor away from the drum pully by loosening the bolts/nuts and then re-tighten. Don't leaver the motor down and then lock off the nut/bolt as this will make the belt too tight, and cause the belt to fail or the bearing to fail over time Take the back cover off the machine and all will be revealed.
best of luck it's a simple fix if your diagnosis is correct

Loud noise when dryer runs

Two items on two different dryers can make this noise. One is the belt tensioner pulley and the other is the bearing on a Frigidaire dryer.
