Difficult if not seen. Most common water on the floor senario is a drain pump leaking:or a perrished pipe from friction.or sometimes, water backs up from the house drainage system due to a restriction.

Actually, you should understand that this information is free and one tries to answere the questions as best as possible with the description that you give. Truthfully your question was ambiguous and never made proper sence. But i still took the time to try and help. Your model washer is not known to me as i live in S.Africa. Non the less, im sorry i could not help. Hope you find the problem.

SOURCE: suds residue left on clothes just washed

ck drain hose end of drain hose should be at least 36 ins from floor also be sure drain hose fits loosely in drain water may be siphoning out resulting low water level to wash/rinse ..also recommend using liquid detergent dry doesn't dissolve good in cold water and even though it may be recommended for front load the lower water levels used may not be enough to dissolve it properly

SOURCE: Intermittent water on floor

Check the inlet valve hoses, even if inlet is at the back, the water may drip down and flow on the front part on the machine. There you also have the PUMP, a faulty pump may leak intermittently.

SOURCE: when washing dark colors there

Try using white vinegar in place of liquid fabric softener. Half a cup at the rinse cycle in a full load will do it. Trust me, the smell of the vinegar will fade quickly as it works to break down the soap.

There are two other possibilities here:

You're overloading the washer with clothes - An overfull washer has the problem of not providing proper drainage before the spin cycle starts - Soap ends up getting embedded in clothes instead of being sucked out of the drain.

Or, You're using non-HE soap in an HE washer.

Hope that helps.

Leaking water from the front of the washer checked the hoses and they are not leaking

If this is a top load washer the problem is usually the pump. If you can tilt the washer up at the front and support with two pieces of 2x4. Shine a light under the maching and take a mirror to observe. Fill the washer 1/2 full of water and advance the time into the spin cycle. Observe under the maching to see where it is leaking. The pump is located at the front of the washer. If the pump is leaking, replace the pump.

I have a GE Model WJRE5500g0WW washing machine. It is two years old, purchased new. After the clothes had spun dry, water was observed on floor. Drain tube checked and okay, not plugged up. Before I open...

Normally water on the floor can be from a few places. Mostly a faulty drain pump: possibly a tear in one of the pipes: rust in the drum: possibly water in the centre which comes from the bearings.(if the machine makes a racket when spinning, then i would look at the spin bearing collum). even concider drain pipe at outlet not running out onto floor. Either tilt washer back about 45 deg. to look underneath or possibly remove panel to allow a visual of the motor and components. See if you can pick up any indecationof water having run down from a particular spot. If so rectify. Hope it helped. .Ge washers not farmiliar to me but most problems are similar.

Won't spin

Take the front panel off by using a putty knife to push in on the two clips at the top edge of the front panel. Now, pull the thin tube off from the left front side of the outer tub. Cut off about 1.5 inches of it and replace. Test. This tube tends to plug up right there. It's really best to just clean it out, as if the problem reoccurs, you will soon run out of tubing. I usually see this problem with machines which rarely, if ever, see regular liquid bleach used. To prevent this from happening again, fill machine to the lowest water level, using the hot water, and several cups of bleach (no clothes) and run a cycle through a couple times a year. Make sure to rinse machine before using with clothes again.

Water seams to build up under machine not much but enough

you either have a hose leak or a pump seal thats leaking, or perhaps a solenoid valve is leaking.  You need to remove the back and observe.

Probably the drain pump seal has gone bad.
Check it for leaks.
If your floor is good and level look for water near the front center of the machine.

Dishwasher not filling with water

My GE Nautilus, Serial # GSD363F00W, Model # LA774908 is about 3 or 4 years old. I use it at least once a day. It has been working fine. Today I turned it on, red light came on, and I heard activity of some sort inside machine but no water came. Turned washer off, looked inside, no water. Turned machine back on, again heard some sort of activity but again no water came. Tried twisting the dial through the washing cycles, detergent cup dispensed detergent and dry heat come on, but no water.

Agitator will not agitate. Also water trickles in instead of flowing in like a tap turned on. Also water leaking under from pipe that goes into plastic component - looking from back of machine bottom...

  • the agitator has a set screw in the side of it about half way down. this may have rusted out or fallen out.
  • the transmissions may be failing (unlikely)
  • the water inlet valves (where you connect the hoses to the washer) have screens in them, they might be clogged causing the water to slowly drip in.
  • the water leak is most likely caused by a rusted clamp loosing its pressure on the hose.
  • the plastic component is the water pump
  • it might be time for a new washer

I just had a new GE washer delivered to my home today, June 24, 2008. All it will do is fill with water and than drain. The agitator cycle does not work and the spin cycle does not work. Model...

We had the same problem with our new GE washer.......the repairman just left. It's the circuit board on the motor that failed, causing the motor to stop working. GE will replace it under warranty.
