The common thing is the water line hook up to the back of the frige. First find the shut off. It is usually under the sink or behind the fridge. Roll the fridge out slowly so as not to damage line further. Also roll it straight as not to damage floor. Once u turn off the water line listen to make sure the water drip has stopped if it stops thats the problem. The line is very easy and simple to change yourself. You can get the plastic ones or copper one at the home centers.

Actualy, it sounds like you merely caught it right when it went into defrost cycle. If it's a non-electronic (non-chinese) model, it probably has an electro-mechanical timer for the defrost which you can manually advance until the compressor comes back on.

Otherwise, just leave it plugged in and set at the default temperatures until it comes back on of its own accord. Defrost time could be in the neighborhood of 20 - 30 minutes. This can occur 3 - 4 times in a 24 hour period.

dont blame the receiver yet, the problem mostly comes from the remote control. it may be the infrared emiting problem. checkout if the infrared in the remote control is emited well. to see this infrared you can read the article at http://www.unique-stuff.co.cc/fixing_remote_control_check_infrared.html

Odd sound from freezer area

If it is still under extended warranty I would have a service call made. It sounds like the dc motor on the circulating fan is starting to ware out.

Water Freezing in bottom of Freezer and dripping out front of freezer door

this could either be a blocked drain from the freezer not allowing defrost water to escape or the defrost heater failing to turn on due to a faulty defrost heater or defrost timer not enabling the water to escape

Water dripping inside fridge

OK, i see a lot of this, and on a fridge that is nearing 10 years old, its pretty normal. Now, we all know that water is leaking into the fridge section from up top because the drain is plugged that is under the evaporator.. now to fix the WHY it happened. most of the time this will happen because the fridge did not go into a DEFROST cycle for a while.. reason being one of two things... either the defrost timer has quit working, or the bimetal thermostat sensor that is clipped on the evaporator has failed. the bi-metal thermostat is usually located in the freezer behind the rear wall and looks like a round "clip on" with 2 wires coming off of it. one pic of one is here.

instructions on how to test this is shown on the link.
(just replaced mine the other day, NO MORE WATER LEAKS! =) )
hope this helps!

Falling water hits something hot in freezer and causes sizzle sound

the sizzling noise is water hitting the defrost elememt and this is normal - shows the defrost system is working. if water comes on the floor of the freezer, this may be the drain for the defrost water is blocked. remove the freexer back panel and the drain is in the tray where the defrost water is caught. if it is blocked - usually with ice - clear it with hot water and make sure the water drains freely. takes some patience and maybe several attempts
