Blank Screen I just bought a used CTX EZBook 700. When I turn it on, the screen seems to light up but is a blank black screen. It is supposed to be loaded with Windows 95. It also shows a water faucet and a light bulb in the small LCD window on the keyboard.

edit myfile.txt <press enter>. This would bring up a blank edit screen, as long as the file is saved upon exit this will create the file myfile.txt.

If at boot??? ...it could be memory or lack thereof ...could be OS improperly installed. In fact it could be a plethora of software hardware problems

Why wipe it? As long as the drive isn't encrypted you can just blank out the password. Download and burn Hiren Boot CD to a disc. Put it in this laptop and make sure boot to CD is first in your boot order in BIOS. Then follow the video.
right click on your desktop and click properties(XP) or screen resolution(vista/Windows 7) on xp click on settings then see if you have two displays showing, if you have click on the one that is greyed out and click on extend my desktop onto this monitor and then click make this your main monitor click apply and click ok if your laptop screen shows your desktop its all good
there is a battery on the motherboard this must be removed for at least 1 minute this will clear he bios password.replace the battery and password will be gone.
try to desconnect or unplug your hard drive, if you see a black screen with a bunch of white letters, you hard drive is crashed, if not try to conect a second monitor (external) tru you vga connector, if work fine you have a lcd problem===>>>reemplace asap.
