My speaker wont work

Are the speakers plugged into the light green port on the back of the desktop? Are the speakers turned on?

Check the Audio Sound properties to make sure the volume is turned up and not muted. Click Start/Control Panel and look for Audio or Sound.

You can Right Click on the megaphone at the bottom right near the time to open and check the audio properties.

Check the Audio Properties in the Device Manager to make sure all the drivers are installed and working properly. Click Start/Control Panel then look for System or System and Performance. Open the Device Manager.

Try the VLC Player. it comes with drivers and codec. I have seen it solve Audio Problems when Media Player could not function.

Try using VLC as your player. Go to and in the search box type "download vlc" (without the quotes). Look for the Video Lan download from site Download and install it. It downloads and installs in 3 minutes or so. It's a very fast player, smooth and it can play just about any type of dvd formats and media. It's totally FREE.

My sound hardware work but i dnt hear nothink in my output speack

Question: Are your speakers plugged in and turned on?
First check the hardware of your speakers, that they are plugged in, to the proper speaker port. then check the device manager to see if it recognizes the sound card /speakers, it not then go to add hardware app and run it , remove sound card and replace it with windows Plug and Play running. if it recognizes it then run your program to see if the sound is playing. Good luck hope this solves your problem.

Emachine et11161-03 no sound from speakers

First check the speakers, plug them into a walkman/discman, and see if you any sound from them. If not then the speakers are bad. If you get sound, turn on a media/music player and check all the holes on the soundcard, maybe its plugged into the wrong one. If still no, check your Audio settings, make sure nothing is muted, and the volumes are all up. Check your sound/audio settings in the control panel, make sure everything is installed, and the drivers are working for your soundcard.

I have no problem playing cd the sound fine but the dvds you cant hear when they are talking help p.s i already change both speakers

The chances are that you need to load some new codecs which should resolve this problem. Depending on how you are viewing the DVD such as MS Media Player, all you need to do is go into any good search engine and put "codecs for MS Media Player"[if you are using MS Media Player] or the name of whichever player you are using.. They are free and are not too big a file. The other thing you need to do is make sure your drivers for your sound card/chip are up to date.

All the Songs on Media Player & Music I Download into the Media Player Get Distorted you Can Hear the Backround music & Some of the Chorus Fine but the Lyrics of the song are distorted if you can hear it...

It sounds like you have a problem with what is called "phase cancellation," which is something complicated that happens with audio when the left and right channels get out of sync and cancel out all of the common sound between the two channels. This can happen with bad speakers, a faulty output jack, or just failing to plug in the speakers all the way - it's also used (trivia!) constructively in the studio to create interesting effects on sounds.

I don't think that you are actually experiencing a problem with WMP, but with your speakers or possibly your sound card. Here's what to do:

First, while music is playing, check and make sure that the speakers are well connected. Double check where they plug into your computer and ensure that the jack is inserted all the way. If they appear fine, flex the speaker cable a bit near the adapter...if you hear the sound change in any way (not including clicks or pops, really), the problem is most likely a short in your cable. Replacing the cable or speakers if necessary will solve this. If this doesn't help either, turn the speakers off and unplug them.

If you have an iPod or Discman lying around, plug it into the speakers and turn it back on. With music playing does it sound better? If yes, probably your sound card is damaged. These can be replaced very inexpensively. If it still sounds just as bad, your speakers are probably broken. You can try a new cable if it is A) removable and B) you have a replacement or don't mind buying one. Otherwise the speakers will have to be replaced.

No Sound

carefully plug back the minijack for the speaker at the out or spk,
normally the sound card has three ports 1. for MIC 2. LINE IN 3.OUT (SPK) - SPEAKER.
carefully plug the minijack for the speaker into the third one - OUT (SPK) - SPEAKER.
in pluging it in, first put on a media clip on the windows media player and carefully plug in the minijack for the speaker and surely you will hear sound.
