I have tried the all tips but doesnt seem to work. Have the product returned to the shop but they tested and came back saying there is no fault so can not refund!!
I want my money back, does anyone had similar problems so that I can prove to them that it can be faulty??? Help please!

Hello

One usefull thing look out for is the os the webcam is made for. I hade the same problem with a wireless dongle. It worked propperly but after a few munites it crashes. I eventually found out that it was a driver incompatibillity os eventhough the driver was for my spesific os i am using. So have a look a the os the cam is made for. You are using vista, and eventhough there might be drivers for vista, they do not always work perfectly. My solution would be to to check for the lates updated drivers for the webcam and try installing them and have a look if it works, it worked with me.

Click start right click on my computer select properties then device manager scroll down image devices you could see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X right click to reinstall drivers or update driver W7. Click start control panel view devices and printers you should see your webcam from there if you are have trouble with your webcam. Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down image devices you could see a yellow question mark? right click to reinstall drivers or update driver Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right. But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date. But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing. Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c - Windows Vista: DirectX 10). http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Which-version-of-DirectX-is-on-your-computer Also during a video call at the top of your screen you will see an option to for a video call using yahoo messenger this might vary if you are using another messenger service Open skype go to tools from the drop down list select options scroll to audio settings you can make a free test call before you try to make a call. Make sure the microphone is using the same as your computers audio you can make a free test call if you cant get the microphone to work you can select learn about setting up your audio equipment. Click start control panel sounds and audio devices audio and also voice it's the same make sure that you have the right default microphone selected you should be able scroll to video settings to make sure you have the right settings. Open skype go to tools options scroll to audio settings or video settings on the right you will see webcam setting you can change the settings from there click apply after changing any settings also you can see the webcam there you can even take a snapsot also make sure your settings are correct for a video call. Click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick select audio from the microphone drop down list make sure you have the right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has a tick in it or Select the voice tab and make sure that you have the right media selected also select volume make sure the box for microphone has a tick in it Hope this helps.

My eyeshot builtin web cam is not working when i am on skype

Did you try uninstalling your Skype? Maybe your Skype version is an old one (recently they launched the new version). Also, if you Skype tried to update automatically and was interrupted it can cause issues.
My suggestion is to uninstall your Skype using Revo Uninstaller, then go to official Skype website and download the latest version which you will install. They try if it works.
Other thing that might be causing the problem is your camera. Please, go to your Skype now, choose tools>options>video settings and see if Skype recognizes your cam (it will appear in drop down window). If your cam is not listed let me know to find you a solution, but first try uninstalling Skype.
I would also like you to tell me the error message you get.

People cannot see me on my webcam on Skype

Before you can use your webcam in any chat program you have to configure it to that program

Test your webcam here to make sure it broadcasts ok - Hit 'Allow' in the top window and check your cam in the left hand panel.

http://www.testmycam.com/

working OK ?

CONFIGURE TO SKYPE
Connect webcam
Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start (To reboot the webcam software) - if you have been using it elsewhere the SKYPE software may have difficulty in locating it, even if you exited the previous program correctly.
The reason being, the webcam software can remain hooked-up to a program and needs to be rebooted.
Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in to reboot the software.
If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.

Start Skype.
On the 'Tools' menu, click 'Options'.
In the navigation pane of the Skype 'Options' window, click 'Audio Settings'
Run down the list setting your defaults
Select your webcam as the default microphone.
Make a free test call
Click 'Save'
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
This will launch your webcam
Adjust quality of picture in 'Settings'
Check the correct webcam is shown as default
Click Save
Test your webcam by making a Skype test call.
