No hot water flow through faucets

At the back of the water heater there will be a series of valves. One on the bottom, sometimes one on the top and then one in a line that connects the top to the bottom lines. Make sure the middle valve is closed and the top and bottom valves are open. If there is not a valve on the top that can be manually opened and closed then there is a check valve installed. This check valve will allow the hot water out of the tank but will prevent the back flow of cold water during the winterization bypass. If the valve on top is closed it will not allow hot water out. If the middle valve is opened it will allow the cold water to mix with hot water and defeat the purpose having a water heater. Close the middle open the top and bottom. If there is not one on top then the check valve is probably clogged or has failed and need to be cleaned or replaced.

After water to house was shut off, my Noritz tankless water heater is on but won't produce hot water. On the unit, the light indicating that the burner is on stays off now.

you probably had debris get into the filter or flow sensor when the water was turned back on. I'd recommend checking the filter first and if that doesn't work, call Noritz Tech support to help you with the flow sensor.

the filter is a black plug located on the cold water line (labeled cold on the bottom of the unit). It points torwards the left.

Water from the in the door water dispenser trickles out instead of flowing out

disconnect the line to the water dispenser at the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the dispenser. If it comes out good here Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws.
A strainer before the inlet valve can also get stopped up restricting flow.

Water flows out the hot tap in the back instead of flowing inside

You need a repairman the back are tricky to remove but you have something broken back there. You water valves are functioning properly but the route for the water is non-existent due to some sort of brake.

I have a General Humidifier Model 1042-L that is leaking water out of the bottom pan. How do I fix this?

Check the bottom of the drain tube (tube connected to the bottom center of the bottom tray). Does water freely flow out the bottom end of the tube when the humdifier water feed is on?

If there is no flow from the tube and water is leaking from the bottom tray when the humidifier water feed is on then the tube or bottom tray may be clogged with hardwater minerals or other material.

Also, if the humidifier has not been used in a long while it's possible a spider has take up residence by spinning a web in the bottom tray or tube. Tell the spider to find a new home.

Another possible reason is the tray is cracked. You may order the tray from multiple sources on the web. Simply shop for model and price.

And lastly, is the unit installed properly, parallel to the ground? If tilted, water flowing through the unit may catch the sides and flow out where it should not.

Bucket fills up instead of water flowing out hose

There must be a blockage in the hose causing the water to back up and flow into the bucket. Try pushing a flexble peice of wire through the hose to unblock it.

Condensation causing water collection

Hi there!

Make sure the unit is level and not tilted forwards.Tilt back if anything.

There should be a drain hole at the back, but it may be clogged, or there may be an obstruction causing the water to build up.

In times of high humidity, water will condense on the cooling coils, and drip off. This is usually carted away by means of a tray flowing to an outside pipe.

One design uses a flinger to catch any water and throw it onto the evaporator coils - thus improving efficiency, but if there is anything touching the coils, like a feather etc, it will flow down that and leak.

Tip it back as the first action, then investigate if it doesn't drain.

Water flow through humidifier

I installed this humidifier (and had a lot of trouble installing it!) and was surprised by the flow of water. Mine leaks out of the bottom of the unit so I haven't actually used it yet. I'll try to figure out why it's leaking this weekend. I thought there would be less water flowing through the pad. I suspect that the weight of the unit is causing it to not be plumb so some water is dripping off of the pad and past the drain tray.
