Question about ViewSonic N2750w 27 in. HD-Ready LCD Television

TV just turns itself off

I have a five month old set that has started to turn itself off with no apparent consistency (it could be an hour after i turned it on or ten minutes or three hours) I wonder about the sleep function but the inconsistent nature is baffling.

Re: TV just turns itself off

Does this happen at night or dark days when lights are on? if so you might be using CFL lights which interer with IR info to the set. it can cause other problems such as random cannel change or no remote responce.

hi wendy, I have the same model tv and it has been doing exactly the same problem you have ever since buying it (2007 - 08) and every time it does freeze it seems to be on channel 9. The only way i overcome this problem is to turn the tv off at the wall for atleast an hour and turn it back on and it seems to re-set itself or should i say the built in set top box re-sets itself and it works fine for a few months and bang it does it again. Apparently there is a LG software update but only technicians can install this. Anyway thats my story! :)

My Sony Bravia turns itself off Stand by red light blinks twice.

If you bought it brand new from a dealer, I would take it back or have them come out and look at it. Less than a month old, it is still under the 1 year MFG warranty or the very best a 30 day one.

Yes you can get this fixed and it is still worth it. It may cost $200 but it should last a long time.

Tv cliking wont power up

The tic tic sound is a device called safety switch that keeps turning your TV off because an internal fault, such as a defective component or a wrong voltage is detected.
When is like that we say the tv is in protected mode.

Start unplugging TV power cord for one or two hours (it is called hard reset), this will drain power from tv and seset internal circuit, and sometimes can clear the error message, if the fault was only temporary.

If the problem does not go, probably some component inside the tv is faulty and may need to be replaced.

If the tv is one month old, it should be covered by warranty, call the phone number listed on the TV owner manual.
