Question about Campbell Hausfeld Tools & Hardware - Others

What is my framing nailer?

I bought a used reconditioned Campbell Hausfeld framing nailer from a flea market. No papers or manuals and no model # tag that I can find. The vendor said it was a 20-22 degree full head, but I tried a 21 degree and it was definetly the wrong angle. Apparently, (from my measuring) it is around a 28 degree. Any way to find out what model it is and the correct degree?

I would go to Campbellhausfeld.com and under products look at the couple nailers they list. They do have a 28deg nailer and also a 21deg, so you could be right in thinking that it is a 28deg, they also show how to find the model number if there is still a tag on the tool. This would be a start to identify your gun

Hi Barbara,

Can you please check if there is a model number on the nailer.
I need this to search for a manual from the manufacturers database. The model number probably starts with "PL"

Two nails at a time and one of them only goes in one quarter of an inch.

Campbell hausfeld makes a 21 and 34 degree angle nail gun. The most common mistake is the wrong nails are being used. Some after market nails will not work correctly in some guns. Check to see if the gun accepts wire welded or paper clip nails. Check the angle required. Also be sure the gun is oiled if it is not an oil- less gun. hope this helps.

Campbell Hausfeld NS2190MVRB 21 Degree Round Head Framing Nailer is jammed. How do I clear it?

Remove any nails in the magazine, and you can carefully take a pin pinch of a size that fits into the nose (where the nails come out). Try to carefully tap the driver back into the gun. This will sometimes clear the jambed nail. If the driver is severely jambed you will have to dismantle the entire unit to separate the driver from the nose of the nailer.

Campbell Hausfeld 3 1/2 framing nailer bends the nails

It is not the best brand but, it should work for a few projects. Increase the air flow and make sure it is lubercated. It is designed to shoot nails into soft wood, like pine. It could be a o-ring blown or damaged, which is easy and inexpensive to repair. Good luck. Phil.
