DMT800. Why does the pump run continuously?

Your machine is in a fault state. As a precaution, it will activate the pump to evacuate any water from the device that may cause a flood. It has probably been triggered by a float in the base of the machine rising on leaked water and tripping a microswitch. If you tip the machine on its side 45%, if there is water in the base it will run out and reset the flood sensor. WHY and HOW the water got there is a question that is harder to answer. Typically a leaky connection internally, though it may be as simple as using some washing liquid that has foamed up and leaked past the door seal into the base

Press start and a whining noise happens

at the start the first thing that happens usually is the last water from the previous wash may be removed, so it could be the evacuation pump with little water in it, if this also happens at the end of the wash this would indiate this problem. the next thing is the water is taken onboard, due to model either the noise is from a pump that pumps the water in, or from teh water inlet, pressure which maybe to high or low. or from a aquastop shut off solenoid which has to be open, but usually they make more a buzziing noise when they have a problem. first check would be to ensrue your water pressure is ok then take it from there.

i hope this was useful.

Water pump evacuates water but does not pump in the wash or rinse

You assume correct. The control board switches the direction, but if there's a mechanical problem like a bad start capacitor, then it won't run

The flashing light blinks 7 times on the clean indicator area , but the dishwasher will not function and when you press cancel it starts running but nothing washes through any cycle at all. please help

ok well usually it is not sensing a temperature change in the water or not getting hot enough. so you can reset the dishwasher and try running the hot water in the sink before starting the dishwasher. if it fails again there is a heating element and control board kit that would need to be installed. you can reset the dishwasher by pushing "high temp wash" and "heated dry" back and forth until all the lights light up then you can hit the cancel and drain button twice.. put detergent in and run it.

GE Triton Dishwasher fills with water but no spraying occurs.

Trouble shooting GE dishwasher
Model GSD6600G00WW

Air gap is clean
Garbage disposal is clean
Dishwasher fills with water OK
Drain pump runs after a wait of several minutes and seems to run slow but drains most of the water out of the reservoir.
Dishwasher is not running the wash cycle (spraying water on dishes)

Water wont drain out of dishwasher

This osunds like it could be the pump that evacuates the water out of the tub or there is a solenoid that activates thus allowing the water to be removed.
