I have a draw on the battery on my 85 Toyota pickup it kills a fully charged battery in about 2 hours... Ive put a volt tester between the disconnected positive battery cable and the positive battery post...

Go to You Tube Video & see how to do a parasitic CURRENT
drain test

What you have done so far with a test light & volt meter is basically
doing nothing

You need an amp meter & a wiring diagram, then pull fuses one
at a time, to get to the circuit that causes the drain, then use the
prints to test that circuit for voltage drops

Hi Everyone I Drive A 2000 Reg 6n2 1.4 8V Polo and my battery isnt charging while i drive ive check the alternator and its got power to that, ive checked the 110Amp fuses ontop on the battery and there...

Check voltage running. A charging voltage should be closer to 14 than 12 volts. If it appears to be at a charging voltage while running your starter might be suspect. Power to the alternator does not equate with charging. It needs to get to the battery, and it needs to be producing higher voltage at the large terminal of the alternator.

Im getting my bike ready for riding from the winter. I have had my battery on a drip charge and now when i put the battery in and try to start it I hear a single click then everything goes dead. I tried...

Sounds like you have a bad connection on to the battery.Clean terminals and sandpaper the connections that go on to the battery.Tighten the starter solenoid connections if you can find them. This is a fairly common problem on motor bikes. If all fails, get the battery tested at an auto electrician or whatever you call those guys over there.Gd luck with it.

Simple!
Try to disconect the battery terminal when the engine runs, if ur engine stop running, it means ur ALTERNATOR is dead!

The voltage output of the alternator should read at 12.5v to 13 volts!

Better go to a pro, to test ur alternator and battery!

Nikon F601 Wont Turn On...

The most common cause of no electrical function is some sort of corrosion on the battery terminal connectors.  Assuming the battery is the correct type (6V DL223A, CR-P2) and holding a good charge, it could be that one or both of the prongs at the bottom of the battery compartment has something on it. The F601 (or the N6006 version, which I have) is 16-17 years old now, and has likely picked up some battery corrosion over its lifetime. Try rubbing the top of the terminals with a rough pencil eraser (being careful not to bend the prongs over).
You might also check to see whether the battery is latching under the tiny tabs inside the edge of the battery compartment when it is inserted. It should be- this holds the battery down tight against the terminal prongs.
If the battery is good, inserted correctly (open terminal end in first), and the F601 still doesn't power up, then...ummm...

Problems with charging

This still could be either if the cord is being moved at the same time. when the laptop is able to turn on, Does everything (programs, software, etc) function properly? If yes, then we can narrow it to the battery or ac adapter.
To find out whether it is the ac adapter or battery, take out the battery, and see if the laptop powers up and stay that way. If it intermittently closes or shuts down, it's most likely the ac adapter.
If it stays powered on, even if you move it, then it's most likely a battery issue.
If you want to be sure before spending some money, go to a friend's, neighbor's or computer store with a with the same manufacturer (dell, toshiba, etc), and borrow their ac adapter to check

Camera will not charge the battery

Well. Ive got the same problem only ive gone thru 3 batteries trying to figure out what the problem is. When i plug it in to charge the light turns red , then within 5 sec's turns green. It stays green but never charges the battery. After 24 hours, its still a dead battery. Im just assuming since its 5 years old that the internal charger is shot. Looking for a new camera at this time.
