Question about Cell Phones

2 Answers

I have paired my P1i with PC (iMac running Vista Business) via Bluetooth and want to use the computer as a speakerphone to improve voice quality. I have selected this option through Bluetooth Devices ("Use this computer as a speakerpghone or headset for calls on your phone (P1i") & can make and receive calls with good sound over the computer's speakers, but callers cannot hear me, i.e. the phone (or computer's?) mic seems to be muted. Any advice, please??!!

Thanks mate. Being a bit phone and IT challenged, could you tell me step by step how I do this? Do you mean that I can change the audio input through the phone's internal software & settings??Where is that on the P1i??Thanks a lot!!Nick....

iMac has an internal mic that's perfectly adequate, and I'd appreciate a bit more specific advice beyond "try navigating your phone's menus".

    Cheers,

Thanks Mahhek, that's resolved it. I had previously paired the phone with a Sony Ericsson H-150 car speakerphone, so once that was deleted from the phone's Bluetooth list, it now works fine just with the PC.

    All the best,

Go to control panel, Open sound devices select the default recording device as your microphone. Make sure the microphone is working correctly.

You may not be able to use the microphone of your phone, you'll have to use the microphone on your computer and configure it as a default calling or recording device.

No contacts in address book after pairing nokia C5 with Parrot CK3100. I find that my contacts are not available on the handsfree. I have used 2 other phones, with this same device, without a problem.

Your Parrot may need updating to work properly with a phone as new as the C5. but you can try the following,
To send a contact
* From the phone press MENU button and go to CONTACTS
* Select the contact you want to send and chose OPTIONS / SEND BUSINESS CARD / VIA BLUETOOTH / MORE DEVICES
* The phone will search for the available devices
* From the list select the Parrot Product

To send several contacts:
* From the phone press MENU button and go to CONTACTS
* Select the contact you want to send and choose OPTIONS / MARK/UNMARK / MARK
* Repeat procedure for several contacts
* Open the OPTIONS menu and chose SEND BUSINESS CARD / VIA BLUETOOTH / MORE DEVICES
* The phone will search for the available devices
* From the list select the Parrot Product

How do I use the loud speaker on a Blackberry pearl?

Hi there

Although the Blackberry pearl does not come with a speakerphone, you can still set up this function by using a Bluetooth device.

HERE IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

Power on your Blackberry using the On/Off button in the lower right-hand corner of the device

Turn on Bluetooth

Find the Bluetooth option. In the main menu, select "device options."

Enable Bluetooth radio. Click on the trackwheel to scroll down until you see the option "Enable Bluetooth". Select this function (click the trackwheel) to turn on Bluetooth compatibility. If you have completed this step correctly, you will now see a "Bluetooth icon" on your Blackberry screen. If you want, you can later turn off Bluetooth by repeating Steps 1 to 3 and then selecting "disable Bluetooth".

Pair your Blackberry with a Bluetooth speakerphone

Power on your Bluetooth speakerphone device using its On/Off switch or button.

Find the Bluetooth option in the main menu by again selecting "device options" and then using the trackwheel to scroll down until you see Bluetooth. Select this by clicking the trackwheel.

Add your Bluetooth device. Click on the trackwheel to scroll down until you see "Add Device." Then click on the trackwheel to select this function.

Enter the name and passkey of your Bluetooth device. When prompted, scroll down with the track wheel until you see the name of your Bluetooth device. Your Blackberry automatically detect your Bluetooth speakerphone if it is within 10 meters. If it does not, enter the name of the device, then type in the passkey provided by the manufacturer of the speakerphone.

Enter the passkey on your Bluetooth speakerphone. Your Blackberry and Bluetooth speakerphone can now communicate with one another.

To use the speaker during a call all you need to do is;

Dial a number and hit the send key. Make sure that your Bluetooth speakerphone is on, and that you have already set your Blackberry to "Enable Bluetooth." If you see the "Bluetooth icon" you have already done this step.

Activate your Bluetooth device. When the call has connected, click on the trackwheel until you see the option "Bluetooth Device". Then click on the trackwheel to activate the Bluetooth function. Your Blackberry will now route your call to the Bluetooth Speakerphone.

Turn on the speakerphone. Depending on which Bluetooth Speakerphone you have purchased, you may need to click on the "speakerphone" button to enable this function. Once the speakerphone is on, you may continue with your phone call.

I have a LG Vu and I want to use the bluetooth setting to download photos into iPhoto. How can I do this? I have tried and tried to no avail, my imac book still shows no connection. Help me please!

What you do is find the bluetooth symbol at the top of your screen (the background) then go to SETTINGS and then to DEVICE VISIBILITY (should be the very top) hit the ON choick then OK for other bluetooth devices to recognise it. then go back to the MAIN BLUETOOTH MENU (just hit back button) and go to SEARCH NEW DEVICE (second one down) but make sure you are in the same room as your computer to have your phone connect with the computer. That should then find your computer and then REQUEST TO PAIR (just touch the name of your mac) and then ENTER THE CODE (should be four zeros if you didnt change it and do the same thing on your mac then after that just select the photo you want to send and hit SEND VIA BLUETOOTH and select your mac

I need the pairing key for a supertooth voice model n15417

I had the same problem but after hours on the phone to Supertooth found out you need to reset the device:

From off, press the Volume + button.
2- While you press the Volume + button, press the MFB (green button) for one second to switch on the kit. You can hear a special ringing via the kit. The kit says the Bluetooth and PIC versions. The Bluetooth indicator is blinking blue.
All pairings and phone books of the SUPERTOOTH VOICE are erased.
You have to do a new pairing with your phone.

Speakerphone?

Support for Bluetooth headsets is the real innovation here. Though BlackBerry devices have packed in phones for years, holding them up to your head has always felt and looked awkward. Because the 7290 paired easily with our Logitech and Nokia Bluetooth headsets, that's now much less of an issue. Unfortunately, the 7290 doesn't support voice dialing, so you'll still have to pull out your BlackBerry in order to dial. There's also no support for the Bluetooth dial-up modem profile and no Bluetooth file transfer. Phone calls are clear, although there's no speakerphone.
The 7920 does not have a speakerphone.
