I've got a ge profile cooktop and telescopic vent with a switch located on the island to move the hood up and into the island. I was cooking without having the vent engaged and still inside the island when I heard it turn itself on and start sucking air. So I hit the switch for it to come up from the island and then turned off the gas to the burner.
The vent is now stuck and doesn't suck in air AND the gas cooktop won't light using the electrical ignition.
I've checked the fusebox nothing got tripped, made sure the connections for the up/down switch and the electrical ignition are secure. Tried unplugging them and then plugging back into the eletical sockets and nothing works.
