This is caused when you stop the tape at a certain location before the start and the tape loosens. Unfortunately when this happens this portion is not fixable. The best thing to do before you watch the tape is to fast forward it for a couple of minutes than rewind it. At this point the tape is tightened and ready to watch. Try cleaning the heads. Be careful that it is a good cleaner so it does not scratch the heads. If I can be of any more help let me know.

VCR won't record, just ejects tape

You have not mentioned the make and model number of the vcr. Any way the problem is due to end sensor or related circuit. End sensors are photo diods which you can check the shorting with a multy meter.

HOW TO PROGRAM MY VHS TO RECORD TV SHOWS TO SEE LATER?

Hi.
--make sure you have a blank tape in the VCR...
--GO TO MENU..
--your clock should show the real time..Correct it if it is not..
--select TIMER
--than select and adjust` start time` and `duration` of recording..and ` channel to be recorded `
--SAVE it..
--Turn off the video .
--you must see a small CLOCK/TIMER ICON on the LCD panel which proves that you did it..

Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me

My jvc HR D170 ES vcr used to work fine when suddenly the picture ( snow ) is very bad but sound is ok ...tried to retune to my tv ...tried changing the rf at back ...tried tuning to my other tv and...

The vcr is fine. buy a cleaning tape. people say dry cleaner tapes wear out the heads, but it fixed my problem when my vcr only showed snow. but try a wet tape first. follow the instructions that came with the tape and run it a few times.

EP to LP problem on VHS tape playback

The problem is dirt, dust or even mould on the VHS tape. You should look on youtube for video's about cleaning a VHS tape. However if it's really bad there is nothing you can do about it. Commercial VHS were only recorded on SP so the quality of the tape means more signal, so less of a problem keeping the video tracked, even if the tape has patches of mould, likely if kept in a basement!

Memorex MVD4544 VCR will not record

Take the unit back to the store and exchange it for an other unit of the same. The likelyhood of two units not working is very slim, and good luck with your new unit.
