Can you replace the screen on Samsung 67a DLP

Elisha,I was not able to find anywhere selling a replacement screen. May I ask why you want one? Did it get damaged?
Did you have the unit looked at by a repair tech? What is the year of your unit and symptoms? The screen is just like a projector screen (DLP stands for digital light processing) It does not have pixels like a monitor or TV has and doesn't wear out or break unless it was physically damaged. If you could get one the cost of repair would likely exceed the value of the unit. If you have picture issues it typically is the lamp, color wheel, or dmd board or a defective capacitor. Have you registered your unit with Samsung with current contact info? You may be part of the class action suit that Samsung recently settled you can try the link to but it is not working for me.

I have a 65hm117 tv. It has white spots and every day more spots ap[pier. What part do I need to replace.

I have the same problem with my 65HM117. Funny, but it started just when I was getting a FREE repair for a Samsung LCD tv with bad caps on the power supply about the same age as the 117. The problem according to Samsung tech (who was kind enough to look at it while he was here) is the DMD (digital mirror device) chip, the "processing" part of the DLP (Digital light processing). Suggested I call Toshiba. Toshiba rep, obviously not in the USA, told me Toshiba doesn't make DLP's anymore "because of all the problems." They apologized repeatedly, repeatedly pointed out the unit is "out of warranty," but NO help or recal even though they know they built a product with defective, unreliable technologyl. Bottom line, Toshiba lost a customer but SAMSUNG has one for life! I'd repair it, but can't find the part number for the board with the DMD...

Samsung HLN 4365 wxixaa with Light engine failure????

When the tech said light engine what he ment was DMD board, the DMD board is the most important component on the light engine and most expensive, but still a lot cheaper then the entire light engine.

The DMD board can definetly, and often does cause intermitant errors. Your problem is absolutely not the Ballast, all the ballast is supply the power to turn on the lamp.

Your tech was right to go to the DMD board, the only other option that it could be is a digital board, you would have to see if it is doing this on all inputs.

DLP Colors Are Off - Picture Is Mostly Blue and Yellow

Sounds like you've lost your red video signal (chroma) somewhere along the line. This tv has a 3 board video path. Analog main pcb --->Digital main pcb --->DMD pcb. The analog has all your inputs on it, except DVI and RGB which go straight into the digital board. The digital scales (upconverts) the signal to HD (1080 or native) and sends it to the DMD or light engine. See which inputs are distorted. If only DVI is clean then you problem is the analog board. If you menu and everything is distorted then suspect the DMD board. If you run component or DVI through the resolutions (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i) you can get an idea between the digital board and dmd. The menu is generated on the digital board. Somewhere red is getting lost.
