Double check you drivers for the webcam to see if they are still working.

Go to control panel, system, device manager (hardware for XP).

Locate your web cam, IF you see a RED X than your driver is messed up or missing.

I would try reinstalling your software for the web cam. Either via cd or go to the vendor's web site.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My inbuilt cam is not located and working

Hi
Pls go to Device Manager and expand Imaging Devices.
Check if your webcam is detected under Imaging Devices.
If it is not listed under Imaging Devices, Then check if there is any other category 'Other Devices'.
If you find the webcam under Other Devices, uninstall the webcam and restart, the computer.
If that doesnt work, then you can try a System Restore or else format the computer.
If you dont find the webcam anywhere in the Device Manager, then there is a hardware failure with the webcam.

My webcam is not working. it shows no picture.

Try attaching it to another computer if you have on, if it still shows no picture then it means the webcam has a hardware failure. If that is the case please contact logitech at: 646-454-3200

If it does work, that means your software needs to be reinstalled on your main computer.

finally, the step that fixed it was...
I went into control panel...

checked the "Show updates" checkbox...
selected "USB PC Camera device driver"...
and in the repair/remove dialog, selected "uninstall".

After the re-boot, webcam works beautifully again!

Graphic render failure

1) Try a different webcam program? Maybe the problem is with the program you are using, and not some OS configuration

2) If another program gives you the same error (or something like it) try installing the latest Direct-X version for your system, and also, update your video and webcam drivers.
