Hello, i really need a help for this. I'm not sure if this problem can be fixed but i really hope it can, because my project work is all in there ! This is what happened. I was using my laptop last night and suddenly, it just shut off (this happened quite alot of times already, btw i placed in on my table, not bed or pillow.) Then, as usual, i try to restart my laptop & thinking that it would be safer if i backup all my stuffs but end up, i can't even start up my laptop already!
When i press the on button, it starts running. Then after showing COMPAQ at the front, it turns grey and showed me this: Windows error recovery A recent hardware or software change might be a cause. To fix the problem: (1) insert windows installation disc and restart computer. (2).. (3)..
other options. safe mode safe mode with networking safe mode with command prompt last known good configuration (advanced) start window normally
Then, no matter which option i chose, the loading bar will appear, but after about 2 seconds, the screen went blue, then black and restarts the laptop.
Help please! If i really have to insert the installation disc first, then will it actually "reformat" my laptop? other than inserting the disc, is there any other ways? because the place where we insert the disc is spoilt already. the button doesn't work and even if i put any disc in, it doesn't load.
Please help as my project in there is very important. Thankyou!

this problem means your computer is unable to boot. Here is what you can do:
1. Start your computer from the Windows installation DVD or Repair CD.
2. Select Repair your computer.
3. Load driver.
4. Go to Computer and right click drive where your Windows is installed.
5. Select Properties and uncheck "Compress drive to save disk space".
6. Close and restart the computer normally.
Not really sure on how to start this up but lets go with trying to access this website go to mail2web.com check if you can access your email there. Also have you tried using a different browser? How about a different email for example a Google one or an AOL just to see if the problem only happens only for your email.
hello, you have a convergence problem. you need to replace the two stk, in the convergence board and check for bad fuses or resistors and replace them too, and your problem should be fix. if you need more help with your tv feel free to call me at anytime. 602-810-7149
There's a possibility that the problem is with the LCD cable or the LCD itself. If its either one of them, you will not be able to fix that by yourself since you will need to replaced the part itself. But there's one simple solution that may fix the problem if its not the hardware itself. This may cause by an electrical charge in the motherboard itself,Im not really sure how it affects the display of the computer. Please follow this method since it usually fix such problem like that,
1.Removed the battery then unplugged the AC adapter
2.Press and hold the power button or the ON/OFF button for at least 30 seconds
3.Connect the power supply back to your computer then turn it back on.
4. Check if you will see any difference.
5. If nothing happens, try to press and hold Fn and F2 on the keyboard.
If nothing happens, there is a possibility that the problem is with the LCD or monitor itself, maybe it will need a replacement...
I hope this information will be helpful. Thank you for using FixYa...
What you have is a convergence problem.
There is 2 modules inside your set that aligns the colors to have the same geometry and superposed .
It is a common problem in rear projection tvs ,
You don`t have to worry about your blue tube , i`m sure it is perfectly fine, it just needs to be aligned through the convergence circuit.
Most often the problem is with those convergence modules that are faulty and need to be replaced.
Hope this will help good luck
I understand the urgency and also the importance of data stored in the laptop.
As the laptop is unable to start in normal mode let us try in safe mode.
Follow the steps below:
1. Turn the laptop off completely.
2. Press the power on button to turn it on and at the same time simultaneously keep tapping ' F8 ' key on key pad until you see a advanced boot options screen.
3. Select 'safe mode' and hit enter.
I did not read the question all the way. I still need to know the make of the TV set. If the picture is all blue, that's not an indication that the convergence needs to be reset. That sounds more like a problem with the video driver unless you have no sound. I really need a little more info on the set to say for sure.
