Question about Bodycraft ® Ect 2100 Elliptical Trainer

1 Answer

The resistence is nearly non existent. the machine is less than 2 years old. this has been going on for a while. can anything be done. went to store and was told that the machine has limited resistence to begin with, but it was very much different when i first purchased it. anyone around who can repair this, other than local seekonk MA store. I think this is a magnet problem. once the machine was repaired as the pedal came off and in the process one of the magnets in the wheel was lost and repairman used one of my refrigerator magnets to replace it. He was a nice guy who workwed hard but may not have technical knowledge and he is the only service guy with the store. thanks Mike

Here is a link to the warranty. It is a lifetime, as long as you are the original owner. There is an 800 number where you can get parts and assistance.

If a magnet came out from where it should be, unless you found it on the floor, it is stuck inside the machine. A refrigerator magnet isn't the right way to fix these things. For each magnet on the left, there must be a MATCHING magnet on the right. Installing "just a magnet" will either double the resistance or almost eliminate the resistance. The unit will need to be calibrated once the proper magnet is installed. Make sure you let them know what the repair guy did, so they can get proper repairs done. I used to maintain the equipment for a national fitness chain. I know how frustrating it can be, when you have a 10 step machine that only works for 5 steps. (Just a comparison)

Hotpoint hv8b 593g all lights flashing and sounds like its trying to pump water out all the time even when empty

Sounds like a sensor or a computer board is having trouble. My Samsumg Top Loader went after 2 years it refused to spin out anything always went off balance even when nothing was in it. These new washers are Junk! I went back to the old style now I get my work done with out stress! Also the old washer which is a Maytag only cost me $100. that beats a thousand dollar machine which I had and Samsung would only allow a certified tec look at it well that a problem in it's self just for them to look not work on it was very costly and I feel if you have to buy a 1 or 2 year extended warranty that tells me it is a piece of junk! I had a Maytag it lasted me 32 years till it burn up. That is a good product the ones they make today are junk throw aways it is very sad.The best I can tell you is get a used one the old style it can be fixed and they don't cost as much.

Ipod screen cracked . Where to send it to be repaired or replaced in NT.

Check to see if there is an Apple Store near you by going to http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/. Go there and get your iPod serviced. If it is less than a year old, you might get it done for free depending on their terms.
If not, try looking for iPod repair stores near you by simply going into google and typing in "iPod repair locations near me"

My ipod went black and now wont power back on or charge?

Your iPod battery is most likely dead.
You can either:
  1. Go to the Apple Store and if your device is less than 1 year old, get it replaced on the spot (its part of their warranty)
  2. Go to the Apple Store and get it fixed for a fee.
  3. Go to the Apple Store and tell them you will give them your old iPod and buy a new one for 10% off.

My dell won't go passed the Dell logo screen it does not boot os the message it comes up with is one hard drive is non RAID and the other is fine I was told to reinstall windows but I don't want to erase...

> message is .... one hard drive is non RAID and the other is fine

Is that REALLY the exact wording of the message???

Disconnect the disk-drive(s).
Buy another disk-drive (less than $50) and install Windows onto it.
Then, attach the existing drives, and copy your files from the "old" disk to the "new" disk.

HI, I HAVE AN Eeepc 901 and my caps lock goes CRAZY. ALTERNATE ON AND OFF WITHOUT ANY PUSH IT. I INSTALED AGAIN WINDOWS BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST

sounds like component board/switch failure .If your eeepc is less that 2 years old Asus will collect and repair it for you free of charge.
Also could be "pirate" or non genuine software--its a possibility

IT IS NOT WORKING

Run this diagnostic
Test Procedures
1. Check if DTC P0110 is set in addition to DTC P0105 or P0106. If DTC P0110 is set, go to next
step. If DTC P0110 is not set, go to step 3 .
2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect MAP sensor 4-pin connector. Measure resistance between ground
and MAP sensor connector terminal No. 4 (Green wire). If resistance is one ohm or less, replace
MAP sensor. If resistance is more than one ohm, repair open in Green wire between MAP sensor
and ECM connector terminal No. 48. After repairs, clear DTC and verify MAP sensor operation.
3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect MAP sensor 4-pin connector. Measure resistance between MAP
sensor connector terminals No. 1 and 4 (component side). Resistance should be about 30,000
ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace MAP
sensor. After repairs, clear DTC and verify MAP sensor operation.
4. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and MAP sensor connector terminal No. 2
(Red wire). Voltage should be about 5 volts. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is
not as specified, repair open in Red wire between ECM connector terminal no. 44 and MAP
sensor connector terminal No. 2. After repairs, clear DTC and verify MAP sensor operation.
5. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM 63-pin connector. Check for continuity between ground and
MAP sensor connector terminal No. 1 (Green wire). If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If
continuity exists, repair short to ground in Green wire between MAP sensor and ECM. After
repairs, clear DTC and verify MAP sensor operation.
6. Reconnect MAP sensor connector and ECM connector. Turn ignition on. Backprobe MAP sensor
connector and measure voltage between ground and MAP sensor connector terminal No. 1 (Green
wire). Voltage should be 0.2-4.5 volts. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not
as specified, replace MAP sensor. After repairs, clear DTC and verify MAP sensor operation.
7. Check ECM connector for loose or damaged terminals. If problem exists, repair ECM connector.
If problem does not exist, replace MAP. Clear DTC and verify system operation. If problem still
exists, replace ECM. After repairs, clear DTC and verify system operation.

Good luck and hope this helps. If the car does not start diconnect the MAP sensor to get you to the parts store if you need it to get you there.

Is there a way to repair or replace the magicjack adapter?

Go buy a new one for $40 at Walmart - KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AND PACKAGING!

Wait one week and simply put the damaged MJ back into pack and return it (within 90 days of purchase)- the store gets credit and you get a new jack, phone #, and your year of service begins anew - no one takes a loss - store gets credit and you don't have to mess with MJ's non-existant customer service -

Note: I have done this 2 times as I get VERY POOR QUALITY CONNECTION on MJ and still cannot figure out a way to improve my connection quality- any suggestions??

RANCID BUTTER melted in Bunn Thermofresh resevoir vents!

There is one thing you can try first. With the machine filled with water and turned on, pour in 1 quart of white vinegar and let it sit in there for 2 hours. Then flush it back out with 8-10 carafes of water. If this doesn't correct the problem, then call customer service with the model and code date. This can be replaced under the warranty if it is under 3 years old or less. If it is over 3 years old, it can be replaced at a reduced price.
