Unable to adjust the color convergence using touch focus or manua

Thats the way it works. You have to adjust the other colors to the red. You adjust the red from the back of the set using the convergence magnets on the tubes. Then you adjust the other colors to match the red. It's much easier if you have the plastic screen from Toshiba used to align this set.

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right. And you should be able to get the grid straight.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

The convergence ICs and the six 1.8 ohm 1watt resistors need to be replaced. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com which has the Two Convergence ICs and the six resistors plus the CD with instructions on how to do the repair.

Sounds like a convergence misalignment, go into the tv menu and look for other adjustments sub menu and follow the on screen directions,this is a simple procedure but will take a little time to get it adjusted just right. Directions are also on pages 20 and 21 in your owners manual. Good luck!
