Question about GE JKP15 Electric Single Oven
Hi - used the self-cleanig feature on my GE for the first time in 7 years since new - after about an hour there was very loud pop/possible electrical short-out type of sound and the display went blank. The main circuit breaker was blown and now I am unable to even open the door to get a look inside or disassemble since the main saftely latch stays engaged since there is no power.
Once it cools I will flip the CB back on but I have a feeling it will just 'reblow'.
Any ideas on what this problem could be and how do I get the door open?
Thanks- Ken Cz
Im not there but if i reamber right that model has a thermal limiter in them which is a breaker that in some instalations gets too hot on self clean and blows they have a kit at ge for that if you turn your breaker on the clocks works but not the oven call 1-800-ge-cares and order the kit
