Question about Vivitar ViviCam 8300s Digital Camera
From all those problems-each one a different component I can only surmise a number of thingsthings. Battery is either dead and needs changing or re-charging. Battery contacts in the inside of camera dirty/corroded Media card asbsent. Check all these things then come back

Power off remove batterys power back up might reset lens but more than likely something is making it bind
Error 2 indicates that lens is jammed / sticking, probally dirt/grit, you could try a dodgy fix withcompressed air in a can but do not use cleaning fluids. Really needs camera shop to strip clean rebuild, There is 12months warranty on your cam.

talk louder? or maby enable the sound in the menu's? i use a
Vivitar ViviCam8300s and i get ok sound. you gotta talk a little louder than normal but it dose work.
WARNING: When sound is enabled do not zoom in and out as the motor will overpower anything and all you will hear is the buzzing sound of the motor zooming in and out so to solve this problem dont zoom in and out

I bought a replacement battery for my Vivtar 8300s today at Batteries Plus. If there isn't one near you, go to their website: www.batteriesplus.com Cost was $17.95; they may have to order it from their supplier in New York, but the battery is in their product list. It's Empire model BLI-315.
