that would be a convergence issue big time.
    By: dimchikne
do u have any ideas how to fix it?
    By: rulds2008
on the convergence board the auto zoom went haywire on you
    By: rulds2008
sure it will require some toools and a whole lot of expertise
    By: rulds2008
i would recommend you just look for the convergence board www.partstore.com BUY it then have a tech put it in as a techs part is 75 percent markup
    By: rulds2008
But if your experienced with doing it yourself that is basically all you need
    By: rulds2008
    is a convergence board.
    By: dimchikne
trying to find it in there
    By: rulds2008
yeah if you do not know what it looks like your goingto need to purchase a service manual
    By: rulds2008
that will give you a diagram of what it is and what it looks like and were its located
    By: dimchikne
i found it. do i need to change it or u think its possible to fix the one thats in there already?
    By: rulds2008
    Well
    By: dimchikne
if its messed up and needs to be changed ill play w it
    By: rulds2008
if this one is giveing your this zoom issue
    By: dimchikne
    oh well yeah...
    By: rulds2008
I rather best not play with trying to service it
    By: rulds2008
because the next to go is the horizonal and vert IC
    By: dimchikne
    what else can it be?
    By: rulds2008
nothing else but a fault convergence board
    By: rulds2008
    but i am saying
    By: rulds2008
if you tried to repair the convergence
    By: rulds2008
your going to have issues down the road
    By: dimchikne
well I see its nothing to repair in there since its a microcircuit chip
    By: rulds2008
    right
    By: rulds2008
    but sometimes
    By: rulds2008
    those can be relaid
    By: rulds2008
and you righto n some of that statment is why i call for a new convergence board
    By: dimchikne
if its nothing to fix without lead and soldering iron ill pas on that
    By: rulds2008
oh its a little more involved
    By: rulds2008
i would rather you have it serviced to tell you the truth.
    By: rulds2008
but it would be cheaper if you bought the part first
    By: dimchikne
so last question I assume. is this part usually comes like a slot u can easily change or gonna need to take guts out first?
    By: rulds2008
    that depends on this version
    By: rulds2008
some are slotted some needs to be gutted

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit wiith instructions from the links below.

Most likely you have picture tube coolant leakage on the power board. Have an authorized Mitsubishi service shop take a close look.

IF the MITS has 3 component inputs blue red yellow RCA jacks on the back then yes at 480 or 720p, you'll need to attach 2 audio cables for sound. If it has a HDMI input then absolutely.
