Question about HP Compaq nc6000 Notebook
Somehow the 'parts' from the top of screen that 'lock' with the bottom are gone. At the top of the monitor i see is two holes (seems missing for the part) and that is on the top left and top right.
HP COMPAQ NC 6000 Model PG592ES
Look in the 'receiver' holes on the bottom. If the little flattened "u" connectors are not in there, you are SOL. They are just pressed in and come out when they feel like it. More "high tech" engineering from HP. If they are there, make sure you press them back in in the correct direction, ie: angled toward the hinge. If you put them in backwards, they just hit on the edge of the receiver hole instead of catching on the lock mechanism.
