For setting up port forwarding, look in your manual on page 5-7.
If you don't have a manual, you can download it here. (It's on page 69 of the .pdf file).
If your application (or game) is not in the list, you will need the port numbers used by that application.
Check that manual or try to find the numbers you need in one of the applications listed here.

You did not mention which version (1-9) your router is, so there might be specific rules to it. Look at this page and find the exact model of your router in the list. (Click "Skip advertisement" on the second page. It's a little bit annoying, but that's how they keep the page up and running. You find great tutorials here.)

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

My nat settings are strict and I don't know how to change them to open?

Using your Internet browser, you can access the Router’s Web-Based Advanced User Interface. In your browser, type “192.168.2.1” (do not type in anything else such as “http://” or “www”). Then press the “Enter” key.
You will get a set up page where you can disable NAT

I want to change my nat type

You are trying to open the NAT on the router for X-box.
For this you will need to reduce the MTU settings on the router to 1365.
You will also need to trigger some ports on the router.
For this you will need to open the router set up page.
Router set up page is the page where you can change the settings of the router

You want the NAT open for X-box ?

For X-box you will need to open some ports on the router.

Also you will need to reduce down the MTU on the router to 1365.

I need to change my nat type from strict to open

This router does not have the typical "strict or open" NAT types. Looking at the manual, it looks like what you want is NAT enabled and SUA only enabled.

Set nat to open

These routers have a setting underneath the advanced tab (within advanced setup) called UPNP.....all three of the active tick boxes need a tick in (by default they don't) and this will sort the NAT stuff out.
