HI there it sounds like your bios has reset if you download the quick start guide from the link bellow and set up your cpu type and set your hdd to auto detect hopfully that should get you booting .
If when you turn the pc off it looses the setting that you have put in and it fails to boot again you will need to replace the bios battery this can also be found in the manua and ony cost a quid or a cuople of dollars from you local pc store
It is either a memory issue or the power supply issue....
Try to reset memory modules.....If the machine still beeps after this and there is different memory modules installed try to remove each and boot(switch on).....to verify if any memory module is faulty.....if this doesnt work try replacing the memory.
If the problem persists try to verify if the power supply is ok.....
If you are using Windows XP:
Right click on "My Computer";
Click on Properties;
Click on Hardware Tab;
Verify that there is no Red or Yellow marked entry;
If there are, then drivers are not installed or there is a problem;
The drivers for the Asus A7S8X-MX are available at the Download pages of the Asus site. In "Input Model to Search", type "A7S8X-MX", in Select Category, choose "Drivers", click on "Search Info". On the new page click on link"A7S8X-MX", click on the "All" tab. Listed are all the downloadable drivers.
Hope this be of some help to you. Post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
