Question about LG 32LG40 32 in. LCD HDTV
The top of the plastic tv frame has melted in the middle in one spot. This must be an electrical component problem inside the tv. The TV is wall mounted, and is not exposed to any heat source. I am afraid to turn the tv on, in case of fire! Help!
Yes i would agree with you not turning it on, Fire is a risk here. I would isolate it from its power source altogether and have someone take a look at it at the earliest. I suspect one of the caps or several of them have overheated on the power board which is located near the top of the surround.
