Problem for Apple iPhone Smartphone

My iphone saysinsert unlocked and correct sim...

I have an Iphone which was locked to AT & T. I had it unlocked a couple of weeks ago, and was using my Orange Sim. All was fine, and working. I think i may have upgraded to the new itunes that was available, and now my phone comes up with incorrect sim message and that Ineed to insert an unlocked sim to activate!!
How will I be able to get this fixed?
Please help

- my phone has the logo of a plug and the itunes logo, and will not do a thing. what does this mean?

- Hi, really sorry for keep asking you questions!
I have done all this and it now has a yellow triangle saying please connect to itunes.
What do i do next, because i have tried to restore, and I cant use my phone to get onto the apptap installation.
hope this makes sense.

- Plug and iTunes logo mean its asking you to connect to uTunes and upgrade that because yout 1.1.1 has detected you as unlocked one so go back and restore with 1.0.2 then it will be sync again

hi there slims, thanx for the info, i followed the second link and it all went well until the independence bit, it did nothing at all even after closing itunes, i tried it again and itunes said that my iphone is not recognizable??????? I'm kind of worried that i didn't f..k up any thing!!!!!!! can you or someone PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE....... HELP ME!!!!!!!???????????? ;-(

i feel like I've been ifucked by my own computer!!!! :-(

i upgraded to the new Itunes and it all went down hill from there, I've owned the Iphone for 19 hours and i know have a brick, it says, SIM Locked insert an unlocked and valid SIM to activate Iphone, i use a pay as you go SIM card and it was working properly before the upgrade, it's good to know that i'm not the only one with the same problem, i hope some one can give me some good and safe advice, PLEASE!!!!! i kind of like my new toy and i really want it to work. hope to hear from some one soon. my email is jamesi_warren@hotmail.com and i live in Portugal.
