Question about Toshiba 30DF56 Television
Replace, at risk of something else happening because you dont have the skills or the tools to calibrate sure, its always an option I guess.
But you would be financially better off having it repaired properly rather than trying the plug it and see to save a $. Most times these things go wrong at a point on the boards due to a part higher up the line also failing. A good tech can diagnose and repair it properly and it will keep going for quite a few years. A DIY in many cases ( see the repeats on this forum oft DIY's that still have problems and you will see that in many cases its dearer than the tech call out or taking it for repair) The Ic's on the sus board have failed and will need replacing, board swapping may aleviate it for a short time but if it has not been correctly investigated you will be doing this again in a few weeks and spending a few hundred each time. There is also the risk of electrocution and exposure to radiation once you open the back of the TV.
You will also need to understand how to align the convergence at the rear of the Tv as well and ideally be able to generate a test pattern to tune the TV to optimal display for the replaced board and parts
I hope I have given you enough to consider the option of NOT doing it yoursellf.
