What you need to do it format your mp3 player. Then go to the manufactures website and download the drivers and firmware for the mp3 player. You need to reflash your mp3 player with the firmware that you downloaded. this should reset the the player and with the updated drivers this should let the computer reconize the player. Hope this works

I am assuming this problem is occurring based on degradation of the bios, your system might not recognize the component if it is dead, reset the component while it is unplugged from the USB port, initialize the firmware application first, when the program makes the request connect the component while holding the play button active, continue to hold as it initializes, when the program begins to format and load the bios release and wait for finalize, reload & play. Unless the component has suffered catostrophc failure this should work, good luck.

What does sychronizing do?

Hello,

Synchronizing on most mp3 players is used for transferring one or more playlists from a computer to the player, having a connection through USB.

Creating playlists, putting mp3 data in a list with a certain name,
mp3 could be put in a specific order.
The player preserves some space of memory to remember these playlists and the playing order.

Some players support subfolders, but not having the manual for the
MP200 I'm not sure if that will work.
e.g.
MUSIC > music list 1
> music list 2

I connect my mp3 to computer but nothing happens

Well, try go to the Start Menu, and go to the All Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, and finally Disk Cleanup! This will allow you computer to clean up all excess junk or programs that you haven't used to free up a ton of space!

If you already did that, depending on the model/ make of the MP3, did it come with a start up disk, and instruction? If not, this is what I would do, go to My Computer, and check to see if the MP3 drive is active, then double-click to open the window, and then copy and paste your music on there, that you have save in your My Music Folder, and see if the MP3 have your songs on there, this is the manual way of putting music on any MP3 Player, if Not ?

Send me some info: Maker/ Model ; Brand Name; GB/MB on MP3; yes or no on the start up disk?

Not enough space for music db

Your device has too much music on it.

You need at least 8MB free in order for it to build the "database".

Connect the device to your computer, delete 10 songs, then re-start the player and you should be back to normal.

Best of Luck.
