Question about Computers & Internet

I have a Canon Mp390 Printer/Fax/Copier which was working well. A neighbor called down and i sent a fax on her behalf. After which i copied some docum,ents to forward to my chemist whereby the printer displayed an alarm and suggested i press the OK button which i did and then if that did not solve my problem i was to remove the plug from the wall for 5 then 10 minutes. This did not solve my problem so i reloaded the whole thing which didn't help either. At all times the display in the top left corner of the screen shows #345 which i am unable to ascertain what that means. Are you able to help. Kind Regards, Clive Waldron

    I do not lnow what to add other than no matter what i do whether it be remove the plug for a time or hit the OK button or stop/reset nothing works..

I don't have that particular model. Is there a Canon dealer in your area who you can call to find out what the code means? Otherwise you might want to contact Canon through their own website.

I can tell you one thing about the Canon MP450 though. If any of the cartridges are empty the alarm light will come on and it won't send the FAX.

How do I use the fax machine?


Do people still fax..? I thought it was all E.Mail nowadays, Anyway
as I remember it, most company's had a FAX number very similar
to their Phone number yeh..? you would put the fax sheet in one end
Dial the comp. fax No. and it would start to fax through when the Fax machine at the other end answered just like a phone call works.
You are left with the original fax sheet and the fax machine would print
off a copy of what you sent it,and vice versa.I doubt however there are

Multipass mp390 cannot fax


There are many things that can cause that, the error number is listed with the NG code. Could be the fax on the other end not responding, bad phone connection, improper setup like the setting for pulse and tone dialing. or using a digital phone line instead of analog.

Can not recieve incoming faxs

Mulitpass mp390


1) Push Fax button

2) Use number buttons to put in telephone number of where you want fax to go to.

3) Lay item to be scanned (faxed) face down on glass and press Start button (Black or Color)

4) Repeat step 3 for each item to be faxed.

5) When ready to send fax (done scanning) press Set button

just put the number in and keep scanning the pages when you want t fax it the printer should say send fax and it will send it all. When you select fax option it should run you through how to do it if above doen't help.

Multiple fax copies only 1 or 2 get through


First check to see if all 5 are bing sent. Sometimes paper sticks to each other and you may only see 1 or 2. Also your telphone line has a lot to do with it. If you are using a digital telephone line with your internet line such as a vontage telephone, the signal is takene from your internet line for your telephone and sometimes such as when you are on the internet and trying to fax, you do not have enough signal strength. sometimes sutting off the internet works. Also what does the report say from your copier/fax are 5 pages being sent. In the set up this Canon you can get a report after you send a fax....

alarm is flashing and flashing put in cartridge even though I've put in both black and color new cartridges and reset both still won't print
