Question about Barrecrafters /sportrack, Sx-12 Ski/snowboard Rack
I have an old Barecrafter ski rack. It works fine I just need a lock kit for it. It rusted over time, and I need to cut it out. Please let me know if anyone knows where I can order one.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

We figured this one out today, after pounding, twisting, sliding, gerunding, etc.
It will not slide backward (as a safety mechanism, of course) unless your latches (the ones that connect / clamp onto the car) are completely loose. That means, that looking at the rack from the end, you'll see this oblong deal that you'll use to tighten the rack to a car. As you turn it clockwise the rack will tighten, right?
Ok. Just make sure that that guy is as loose as he gets, and your piece will slide back just fine.
