it can be unlocked by calling your carrier and they will give you the infomation unlock code as long as the account is current and not delienquent if canceled it will cause some of the features not to work on the device

If you flashed the phone yourself then I assume you have software on a pc or laptop such as CDMA workshop or QPST configuration. If you do and you have the phones USB drivers on your computer all you have to do is put your phone in diagnostic mode and run one of these programs to access service programming. There you can change the sprint data settings to metros. For instance user name would change from email@example.com to firstname.lastname@example.org. It sounds difficult but if you know the settings and have the software it is quite easy.
If you paid someone to flash it for you, they did a half a$$ job as they should have done it during initial flash. You can google metropcs data and mms settings to get correct info.
