How to install belt

Carefully thread through loops of jeans. Make sure buckle is facing outwards. Use same philosophy for belt on mower.

With engine off, thread belt around drive and driven sprockets. Excess slack will go around idlers that put the belt in the correct alignment with the sprockets. Last step is to put the engage lever in the MOWER OFF position and fit the belt to the correct side of the roller.

04 sierra 3500 8.1 liter. Belt is loose after changing alternator.

Make sure you belt routing is correct. Then check your belt if it is original then you are fine but if you replaced it as well, double check you got the correct length belt. lastly check the size of the pulley. If its smaller then you need to get the correct pulley put on or switch to a smaller belt. My money is on your belt routing being incorrect

How do you put the belt on on my dryer ? every time I put it on it has alot of slack

your not getting it onto the idler pulley,or your not routing the belt correctly, when it goes over the idler pulley correctly there will be a lot of belt tension then as you need to force the idler over to get the belt over it

Belt keeps slipping off need to check the correct belt number and what can i do

What does it slip off of, the brush or the motor? Are you sure that it is in correctly, as there are usually 2 ways of putting the belt on. If put on correctly, it should not contact any part of the vacuum except the motor shaft and the brush. Also check check there is not a buildup of hair, etc. where the belt goes around the brush. I would try turning the brush by hand and see if anything is interfering with the path of the belt. There is always a chance that some part of your vacuum has broken or malfunctioned and is touching the belt and making it come off. Also, make sure that the brush is correctly installed.

The tension on the belt should be pretty high so that it is hard to pull out of place. If not, you could have the wrong belt. I believe that this takes a type "U" belt if that is any help. Hope this helps and good luck!

Diagram of pullies and belts on 86 toyota mr2

If you are talking the a/c pulley and alternator pulley, I am pretty sure the belts are different sizes (different number of ribs in the belt). So, you can just look carefully at the ribs and put the right belt on the right pully. from memory, the A/C belt goes on first and all the pullies towards the front of the car are used for that belt. The Alternator belt goes on next, and all the pullies from the crank shaft toward the back of the car (from the crank pulley) go to that. I could have those reversed, but the ribs on the belt will show you for sure. have fun!

I am installing a new belt but the pulley that mounts to the ground i found was not attached and i am not posotive of its correct spot i need a diagram

The idler pulley goes in front of motor shaft. There is two slits in sheet metal where it slides in. after pulley is on. put the belt around drum and pinch belt together. put belt under idler wheel then put end on motor shaft. You can push up on idler pulley to get around motor.Make sure grooved side of belt is wrapped around drum. Good Luck!!
