SanMax portable drive suddenly, after 22 mths, not...

I installed SanMax on 2/23/2007 and never had any problems. Today,12/16/2008, the O/S XP does not find SanMax. I check the connection and they are Ok. The blue light on the portable hard disk flash continuously. What can I do about it?

may be partition table is mismounted,go to dos mode and run CHKDSK for your external drive .(press F8 after post and select dos mode)
