Question about Panasonic KX TC1713 Cordless Phone
Can some one plz tell me how to fix this problem ...the speaker phone on the Panasonice KX TC1713 stopped working ..each time I hit the orange button ... it just doesnot do anything ....
I'll assume this is on the base station portion. You can try unplugging the power while the phone is in the base, wait a minute, then plug back in. If that has no effect, I'm afraid you either have a failure in the keypad or in the electronics. To diagnose a keypad failure in the base, you'll need to disassemble the base. You'll find each of the rubbery keys momentarily connects two traces on the keypad circuit board when you press a button. You may also find the keypad fouled with dirt, liquid, etc, which could be a likely cause of failure. You can try manually shorting the two traces where the SP/Phone button would press and see if you are able to activate the speakerphone/dialtone. If that works, then carefully clean the keyboard circuit board and the rubbery keys. If that does not work, I conclude you have a bad keyboard circuit board or other electronics in the phone are bad.
