Hi,

This is a Common one specially on Neptune Washers. The rear bearing very common issue on the your washer.Unfortunately the cost is around 600 to fix this you can not get just the bearing because its part of the rear tub assembly. If you want the part number post back.

As a guide, i would advise you to go for a new washer as there are so many available in the market with lower prices.

I would say that lowes and appliance world will have the best prices i don't know if you have these places near you but that's were i would start!

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

SOUNDS LIKE JET PLANE WHEN IT GETS BY RINSE AN SPIN TIME

I assume you mean it sounds like a jet plane when it spins, if so, I suspect a bad tub bearing. Depending on age of the machine, probably too expensive to repair.

The spin cycle sounds like a jet plane taking off. Any ideas as to what it could be?

Main bearing failure probably. Have a look underneath for an oil or rusty water stain around the cabinet... If it has, it may be an expensive repair and probably not worth fixing.

Jet Plane noise in spin cycle

The bearing in the outer tub assembly is going out and you will need to replace it. Here is the part if you want to order it but you might want to look into buying another machine.

Sounds like the inside is a jet plane while in spin cycle very lose inside like something is loose ore broken like a belt

If the washer is vibrating a lot, then you could have a bad drum bearing. There are also counter weights and shock absorbers that could be bad. The best thing to do is take off the back panel and look inside. many times the problem can be clearly seen. Usually a loud noise like a jet plane on spin cycle means a bad bearing. This can be costly unless you can do the work yourself. The parts are readily available.

Noisy during spin cycle, sounds like a jet plane at full spin.

the drum bearings have gone, expensive repair, this is caused by over loading the machine

Spin cycle is loud

If it sounds like a jet plane taking off, a grinding noise, it is the bearing. This is pretty difficult to replace. If you do attempt it, you MUST replace the inner tub seal. This is leaking onto the bearing, causing it to go bad.
