I hope some one can help! My brand new Magellan 800 won't boot up. I turn it on the magellan symbol comes up then the driver warning page, I hit ok and after that all I get is the blue screen with the Magellan symbol and nothing more, I read the instruction and it suggests waiting 15 minutes or more, but after 3 hours, no joy. Anyone have any suggestions??? I bought it from a wholesale store and all sales were final, so I can not return it.

there is a firmware update (2.12) for your 800, you can download it HERE then just follow the directions to update your unit...the link above it for the 800 north american version, so if you have the Europe version, just got to the support page and select your unit.
you must register your magellan on their website before they will let you download anything.
if you need further help, just reply to this post.
Hello there: here is a couple of linkds that i was able to retrieve hopefully they will help you ok best regards michael

turn off your unit with the slide switch on the top. Hold down the repeat button or the one beside the slide switch and then put the slide switch back to the on position. Then select hdd tools then format. exit out and turn the switch off and back on and it should work

check the fuse in the plug - usually a ring around the end that unscrews and the fuse and a small spring will be inside the small metal pin that sticks out the end.
Hope this helps, please post again if not :)
