You have to purchase a component cable with blue, green and red connectors. This is a pcb set up. Also you will have to use your audio connections (red & white0 that correspond with the video imput you are trying to use. What it is doing is only getting one video signal through your yellow connector therefore displaying no colors.

I was trying to connect my ps2 with Panasonic vieara tv but picther is in black and white and no sound

A black and white picture suggests you are trying to use a composite video input but the TV may be NTSC format while your game is PAL, or the other way round. Use a game with the correct format or use the separate RED, GREEN & BLUE inputs (may require a different type of lead).

When i connect my ps2 to my lcd tv the display is in black and white but when i connect my dvd player there is no problem at all

This smells of a connection issue. Are you using the same cables to hook up both the DVD and PS2? If you are using component cables (5 heads) make sure the colors are matched up. Mixing those cables up can lead to a B/W picture. With more information as to how you are connecting both the DVD and the PS2 I might be able to find a more definitive answer for you.

Hope that helps!

Component Input 1 & 2 gives black & white picture

You will need to connect all the cables for component to get a colour image.
The component cable has 3 connectors all for video. If you have connected only one cable for video then you will not get colour information. Component needs all 3 to get colour and luminence information. You can use a regular composite cable but you have make sure you match up the colour codes on both sides i.e to TV and to the source. The other two Red and White a separate cable is for Audio.

Y-> Green
Cb-> Blue
Cr-> Red

Dynex dx-32l151a11 the picture is black and white with the dvd player

With a Black and White picture it sounds like you're trying to connect the DVD Player's "Composite" connection to the TV's Component Connection.

Composite is a 3 wire system with Yellow for the video, and red and white for the audio. On your TV this connection is located on the side.

Component is a 5 wire system, with Blue, Green & Red for Video, and Red and White for audio. On your TV this connection type is located on the rear panel.

Check to make sure you are hooking the DVD player & the TV to the same input types.

This is a common problem for the 5-8 years old LG LCD TV, the problem is a defective main board, due to the new part dried out sources, the only way to do is to re-flow the soldering on the main board yourself by using your kitchen oven, this is the procedure:

Re-Flow Soldering Procedure for LG Main Board

    1.Pre-heat your kitchen oven to 385 degree (No more than 400 degree);

    2.Put the main board on a card board (like a pizza box board) in the oven;

    3.Heat it for 10 minutes (No more than 10 minutes);

    4.Turn the oven off & leave the door open, at this moment, do not touch or move the board until it colds down to the room temperature.

    5.Install the board in the TV & try it out.

Proscan 26LB30Q Vs PS2 = HELP

The red white and yellow cables are composite connections. The red/green/blue connections are component connections.

The playstation's composite connections consist of two audio connections- red & white, and a composite yellow video connection. The TV's white connection is the audio, and the red/green/blue are component video. You need an adapter that will connect the one yellow(composite video) to the three red/green/blue (component video) connections

Black and white picture

Since you're playing in a PAL region, it sounds to me like you're using the wrong connection for your system. You don't need to buy an SCART adapter for your cable, but if you pick up an RGB cable for your PS2 instead of composite, you should be fine. This is assuming you don't have a composite connection somewhere on your TV. Component (Y/Pb/Cr) would also be a good option. I can recommend a store here in the US, but I don't know if they ship internationally. The linked item is an S-Video cable, which will work well if you have an S-Video connection available. You can look for the other options on the site. Good luck!

Do you mean a Playstation 2? If so, buy a SCART to component converter (like a SCART plug but with yellow white and red inputs) Put it in one of the SCART sockets and plug in your PS2. Hope that helps...
